"Drives fine, nuthin special, but the 2 things I HATE about this car are: 1. The headrests stick wayyyyy out forward, making them so uncomfortable that I turned them around backwards. 2. The visibility in the passenger's side back corner is non-existent because of the window design and the back seat headrests. It also needs an awful lot of maintenance for what I thought was going to be a completely worry-free car, for at least the first few years. I liked my 2000 Honda Civic EX with a sunroof about a million times better, even though it was kind of a grandpa car. Wish I could get it back. Sigh."

Solid but flawed, with hidden costs everywhere..

Pros: "Its quiet and the build quality is ok"

Cons: "very costly to repair/fragile engineering."

"At the dealer I bought mine from all the cars had the 3m edge door guards installed by default, there are no regular door guards, the strips on the side of the doors or the edge standard, you have to pay. So basically every standard corolla out there is just a magnet for expensive dents every time you leave it in a parking lot. Just 1 week after I bought my car, I hit some shredded tire debris on the road, it just nicked the bottom of the bumper, the part where there's that front spoiler lip which is close to the ground, it split in half. I took it back to the dealer to complain about its fragility, but they wouldn't help me. The total estimated repair cost for a ding on the bumper is 1.5k...yes a ding to a non functional part of the bumper below the shock absorbing bit is 1.5k worth of parts and labor. This is in large part because the entire front end is one piece, its all part of the same thing I'm seeing in this car, every repair is going to be expensive because it wasn't designed to be easily done. The total lack of door guards is just part of the same type of thinking. Make a car that will cost the customer down the line. Also the touch screen for the radio is hard to see in the sunlight, and yes I had it in day mode, its not bright enough and the viewing angle is very poor."

good opverall car. fun to drive with a small chip.

"a few add on chrome pieces and getting rid of plastic reflectors in rear changed with led round running lights. plus a few other small changes made it a fun car to drive"

Great value, not fancy but solid

Pros: "Price, dependability, nice handling, big glove box"

Cons: "No side door guards standard"

"This car is not exciting but fun to drive. I feel secure and confident while driving. As a 50 plus driver whose owned many cars , the car is not fancy but has everything a low tech person could want, it"s practical all around and the free 25,000 mile maintenance was the closer for me. My only grip is it has (as most cars these days) no side body moldings standard, inviting a lot of door dings after parking in crowded parking lots. I paid extra and also added door edge guards. With an extra $600.00 I got the platinum warranty package good for 100,000 miles in the very unlikely case anything goes wrong after the 36,000 warranty expires. Peace of mind and everything I need to safely go from point A to point B. Totally content and plan on keeping for a long time."

best for my buck

Pros: "mpg, great/simple setup, fun to drive"

Cons: "could be faster"

"this car is a great car, it has all the best stuff but with a simple layout without buttons and knobs everywhere. only thing that would make it better would be if it had more power while still keeping everything the same. but for averaging 40mpg I cant complain about it... im probably going to keep it till I either total it or it dies on me."
