Pros: "Reliability, Mpg, Low ownership cost ."

Cons: "Styling could be better"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I'm actually doing this review for my dads 05 Le Corolla automatic because it deserves justice. Besides regular maintenance and a battery switch, he has had 0 problems with this car. 0 . And that's at 225,477 miles!!! Yes it's kinda bland, the styling could be better, and the inside is somewhat generic. But, if you're looking for a car that is reliable no matter what, this is the car. Fantastic mpg, 35+. I grew up in Toyotas, and I still believe they are the best. Go Toyota !"

Pros: "Low upkeep, great mpg, great price, reliable"

Cons: "basic, small interior"

"Bought this car brand new from the dealer June 2006 with 6 miles on it. I'd put 100k miles on it by January 2010. It's now at almost 196k miles and we've done routine maintenance (oil changes, brakes, tires, fuses, lights) and it's still going strong. The engine light recently came on, but that's the recall from the airbags that was announced this year. All in all, I would buy this car over again. It got 38-41 mpg in the beginning, but now gets 32-34 mpg (manual transmission). Can't say enough about how much I love this car. Just bought a 2014 corolla and hope it's as dependable."

Pros: "awesome.. simpl awesome"

Cons: "clutch has to be mashed to the florboard or yo ca"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"148,000 miles on it and all I have had to do (other than the standard oil changes, tires, wipers etc.)is 1 set of spark plugs, 3 headlights(Canadian version so light runny all the time) and a serpentine belt. The brakes are STILL original and have no pulsation. At 6'4" I found the legroom limiting, so I pulled the seat out, built two rails that I mounted into the floor bolts, then after drilling holes in the rails, bolted the seat 3 inches back on the rails, so I now have a 3 passenger Corolla but have more legroom than the biggest gas guzzling SUV!!! Setting the cruise control at 62 mph I can get 42.8 mpg. At 62 this is only the 5th car I've bought(I try to get a quarter million miles out of my cars) and drive 20,000 miles /year and this is by far the best car I've ever owned."

Pros: "Good shape, good mileage"

Cons: "High miles"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"This is my favorite of any car I have owned. It has run like a top and been economic and extremely reliable. The only criticisms I have involve the economics used on the interior which could have been a bit better, but no doubt contributed to the economy of the purchase. The co-owner of the car has some physical issues and found it somewhat uncomfortable for long trips. Overall, however, this is a spectacularly good car...nice looking, too. I would not part with it now except for the high mileage and the necessity of many out-of-town trips. The ideal new owner would be someone who needs a roomy, around-town car. It still looks very spiffy and has had extremely good care. Includes after market leather seats and sun roof."

"My mother bought this car new in winter 2014 and drive it back and forth from work (140 miles round trip) almost every day. Ten years and 185,000 miles later, it still runs wonderful and is very reliable. There has been no major or expensive problems."
