"My mother bought this car new in winter 2014 and drive it back and forth from work (140 miles round trip) almost every day. Ten years and 185,000 miles later, it still runs wonderful and is very reliable. There has been no major or expensive problems."
Pros: "GREAT on gas, cost of ownership is basically $0"
Cons: "PAINT, hubcaps, interior is cheap and falls apart"

"I love the drive of this car. I bought this as a commuter car mostly and it didn't disappoint: 38 mpg, maintenance free, and solid if unspectacular.
Here's where it get's disappointing - the paint. After two years, regular road chips were starting to appear. At first, it just looked like specks of dirt, but they wouldn't wash off. Then I realized I might have to have it repainted if this continued. Even small scratched from when I parked near tree branches started to show on the car, but didn't show any where else. Then, after 6 years, we had horrendous rain and the roof clearcoat started to wear through. It was so embarrassing to drive because it just kept deteriorating.
Within 3 years, I had to replace all four hubcabs. If you see older corollas, you'll see at least one hubcab has been changed. Look online and there are users who report that this is a common issue. It makes it look so old and run down.
The inside was also starting to age. The dash has at least 3 compartments not counting the glove compartment and over time, all of the compartment hinges starting staying open on their own. They wouldn't shut and it was obvious they were starting to just stay open.
I liked (but didn't love) driving the car. I bought it because it was reliable and the cost of ownership was very good, but I just couldn't handle how badly the car aged. It is just not a good looking car anymore."
"For a resonably priced vehicle Toyota Corolla gave me excellant mileage over window sticker inf. Consider extra good mileage due to use of Mobil #1 since new. Driving with cruise controls set a touch under 70 mph I achieved 42 mpg occasionally. Good vehicle for the price!"
"Ive had my 2006 Toyota Corolla S for 1 year now and it has been a perfect little car with good gas mileage. Starts up perfect every time and Ive had no issues with this car at all. The previous owner to me said the same, great car, no issues, cute little ride."
"We bought our 2007 Corolla brand new and we still love it! If only my husband didn't ding it up so much, we'd have it forever! In the 8 years we've had it, we have only had it in the shop once for work and once for brakes. It truly is a wonderful car and I'd recommend it to anyone."
"This vehicle is by far the most attractive, comfortable and reliable vehicle i I have owned. The features in my 07 Corolla S are top notch. With 120k on it, the engine still has tons of power. I run 89 fuel in it and have synthetic oil. I have had 0 problems with it, never had to perform service, just regular needed maintenance."
