I own this car - My approximate mileage is 203,600
overall rating 8 of 10rating detailsPros: "Solid, reliable, comfortable"
Cons: "Styling isn't cutting edge by today's standard."
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8
"OK, it's a 2002. OK, it's not a Lexus. And yep, she's got over 200,000 miles. But she rides good. She's very reliable. Everything functions properly. Air's cold, all power works, seems like fine condition. I admit aspiring to owning a new Lexus IS 350. In the meantime, this is the poor man's next best bet. A relatively heavy, somewhat luxurious version of the legendary Camry, 15 in. wheels, wood trim and leather interior--actual cash value less than $4,000. But rides like a million $. I've driven this car over 200,000 myself and she's been as reliable as a Swiss-made clock. My guess is that if you went to purchase a 2014 Camry XLE, you'd spend as much as you would on an entry level Lexus (Is 250). But for an older car, if you can stand a comfortable ride without the latest styles, this is a great old car. And it won't break you up on repairs. My recommendation below is based on my 2002 model; I can't make promises on the 2013-14 models, since I obviously don't own one."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 205,000
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsLikely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"Forget BMW. My Camry is the ultimate driving machine. 205000 miles, 1qt of oil every 5000 miles, 30 mpg, about $1000 for nonconsumables like front axle, starter and the like."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 265,000
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsPros: "reasonably priced, drives well and looks good."
Cons: "would be cool if it had dual temp control in front"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"I bought this car with 25000 miles on and have had it 8 years and it now has 265000 miles. I have had virtually no problems with this car. The only repairs have been brakes, tires and regular oil and filter changes. The car looks great yet and has no rust. Still runs like a top. We are about to buy another Camry and will be selling this one soon."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 102,400
overall rating 3 of 10rating detailsPros: "Ok Gas Mileage, Good Interior & Cargo Space"
Cons: "Unreliable Engine, Low Quality Interior"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 1
"I got this car used with 95,500 mile in August of 2012 and have nothing but problems. Now, 9 months and 7,000 miles later, I have had to repair rear suspension and replace the starter, crank shaft, and oil pump... JUST TO KEEP IT RUNNING. The rear defroster still does not work, the dashboard is shrinking in the sun, the teeth on the key have worn down and no longer unlock the doors or trunk, and the back lights on the climate control do not work... Even with all of the engine problems I still average about 28/29 mpg with mixed driving. The interior is ugly and unrefined with the use of too much cheap foam rubber that does not hold up well. The cup holders in the front are poorly designed as a result I cannot use them other wise my drink will fall over when stopping or accelerating. The pass through into the trunk is small and limited to the seats. It does however offer a good amount of space inside in both front and back. The trunk is massive as is the gas tank. The exterior is so so. Not beautiful; not ugly. The paint on the plastic door handles has a tendency to scrape off easily. Overall, after my experience with my Camry, I would not ever recommend for somebody to buy one. I will say however that many of the problems that I have experienced have been unique to my particular car. One of the previous owners did not take care of its basic mechanical needs. As a result major problems have surfaced later on in its life. If properly maintained a Camry can easily last to 200,000 miles plus... Unfortunately for me my car is not one of those..."

"I know that I will have to get a new car but I will miss this car more than any of the others I have driven. The costs each year to run this car is far superior to my other friends cars."

"Between my husband and me, this is the 4th Camry we've owned. Without question, it has proven to be very reliable and very easy to obtain service anywhere, at reasonable cost. We are planning to purchase another one next month, and possibly two (since we both need new cars at this time)."
