I own this car - My approximate mileage is 103,000
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsPros: "Reliable, Affordable, Smooth Driving"
Cons: "Poor handling at high speeds... Nothing else!"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"I have owned this car for about 5 years and 80,000 miles and could not be happier. It is an extremely reliable and comfortable car that gets the job done. With the exception of a $500 O2 sensor that needed replacing, I have only needed to do standard maintenance and age-related repairs at their proper mileage/age intervals (oil, tires, brakes, timing belt, etc.). This car has NEVER left me stranded regardless of weather or road conditions. It has been far more reliable than more modern vehicles owned by family and friends, including newer Toyotas. In addition to being extremely reliable, it is an extremely affordable car to own and maintain. The styling is very conservative, but it ages well. Inside, everything is functional, with large, easy to use, simple buttons and knobs. The fit and finish of the vehicle are fantastic, with many quality soft-touch materials on the dash, steering wheel, and shifter. Most new cars today, including virtually all newer Toyotas, have hard, cheap feeling plastic. Performance is also more than adequate for everyday driving -- The car is a great highway cruiser, getting good MPG, and is equally great for scurrying around town or local driving. The V6 and transmission are silky-smooth, better than many newer and more expensive cars I have driven. The car is also extremely light, which allows for nimble acceleration and handling (at lower speeds). The low window sill also makes the cockpit feel very airy, with few blind spots. Many people question how I am so in love with this "boring" 13 year old car and don't want to give it up, but it is true. Every time I drive newer, more expensive cars of friends or family, or the occasional company vehicle for work, I get a smile on my face when I get back into my Camry. The experience is night and day. I am in love with this car and don't plan on giving it up until it dies... Which, given the reliability of these cars, is thankfully not for a VERY long time!"

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 126,000
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsPros: "Quite, reliable, just a really nice car."
Cons: "It's a sedan not a sports car."
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"I bought the car for work. I did all the required maintenance. The only issue it had was the strut mounts were bad and it rattled over bumps, a known issue with these cars. I had the front strut assembles and all the sway bar bushings replaced. It now runs very smooth and quite. Not one rattle. Unbelievable for a sixteen year old car. If you look around you still see a lot of 97-01 Camrys on the road. It's not exciting but it has to be one the most dependable cars you can buy if you maintain it."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 312,548
overall rating 9 of 10rating detailsPros: "Great car, good mpg, and reliable."
Cons: "cheap interior"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"With over 300,000 miles, I have only had about 1200 in repairs. I wish they had put a little more thought into the interior, but it's still a comfortable and easy car to drive."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 150,000
overall rating 8 of 10rating detailsPros: "Enjoyable to drive and economical to own."
Cons: "Problems filling the gas tank."
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"The Toyota Camry has the comfort of a mid-size car, and performs well on the highway. It has space flexibility due to the fold-down rear seats. It seldom needs repairs and has never died on the road. It gets decent gas mileage(up to 32 mpg on the highway). The only real complaint I have is an apparent air lock when trying to fill the gas tank."
