When I first bought the car (looks much worse now)

"Never gonna let you down. Well, unless you want a car that has working amenities after 100k. Bought this car used in basically perfect condition at 90k except for some peeling tint and a faulty back window motor. It was my first car (older than me) so being 16 and all I wrecked it about 6 months in. Car kept chugging along though. About a month after this incident, everything on the car started to break. First, was the worse thing--the air conditioning. I live in Phoenix, so driving in my car in the summer was horrible. Then, the other back window motor broke. Neither window would stay up so eventually had a friend remove the door panels and just put boards in so they wouldn't keep falling down. Overhead cabin light had to be smacked to turn on (which was kind of funny actually so I never minded it). The window tint actually ended up melting to the back windshield so it was like trying to look through murky water when backing up. Front turn signals went out, inside AND outside driver side door handles broke, and headlight went out TWICE in the short 3 years I owned it. But the thing still chugged along. Finally getting something new because I can't take the heat anymore ($500 to fix A/C on a car that's worth about $2.57) but honestly, despite all the broken things, the engine would probably run past 300k. Only mechanical issue I ever had was a little brake line leak, which was an easy fix. So if you don't care about everything else breaking and want an engine that'll take you to the moon and back, this car will do it. Handles great, love the V6 power (I won't miss the poor MPG though), and even though it is now the ugliest car in existence due to my 16 year old driving habits, it really isn't all that terrible. 5/5 would wreck again. Oh, and the cup holders were the worst, most after-thought placed cup holders in existence. You can't put the car in park unless you collapse the cup holders, which don't even hold anything anyhow."

"I bought this car about three years ago when it had 140,000 miles on it. Now it at 240,000 and I am looking to purchase a new Toyota. But wow, what a car it is! I ended up having electrical problems that jammed up one of the windows, so had to take the door panel off with my dad. Been in an array of accidents, gotten it caught in the mud, this car just keeps going! The AC still blows freezing cold and only minor problems as are anticipated with a vehicle of this car's age (radio volume button fell off, electric windows broke). Overall, a fantastic buy and certainly worth what I paid for it!"

Best 20+ year old used car to buy.

Pros: "Good price, smooth ride, roomy"

Cons: "Bland, basic, just an A to Z cruiser"

"Reliable always starts only needed weather stripping and had door lock issues which is common for toyota. Great little car better built than the newer compacts, only issue was its age. Take good care of it and it will last you forever like it did for me. 1 more year, and it would have been a classic."

Pros: "Solid, reliable, well-built, comfortable,"

Cons: "Few and small cup holders but comfortable interior"

"My 1996 Camry wagon is a trooper. The quality and build are excellent. From paint to engine, transmission, etc, the car has held up amazingly well. It's 85% driven on highways and garaged. It's powerful, good in snow with winter tires, gets about 28 mpg on the highway. It's solid, responsive, reliable and a nice-looking wagon, too. As well as everything else, its styling has held up over the years. It's got small electrical issues off and on like in heavy rain the signals don't work for a bit, but that's about it. I upgraded the sound system with a cd player"

Pros: "Leather Seats, Sunroof, powerful v6 engine."

Cons: "NONE"

"I bought my 95' Toyota Camry XLE in 2000 used with 60k miles. It was the best vehicle I've owned. It caused me absolutely NO problems at all! The V6 engine was nice, jumps on it! I upgraded to a Ford Taurus in Nov. 2015. It's nice, but I miss my Camry, It would have made it to 300,000+! I would recommend a Camry any day."

"I plan to get 500,000 miles out of it. It already has over 400,000. I drive it appox. 600 miles a week. I've put four timing belts on it & only done one tune-up at about 200,000 miles. I also replaced the radiator & struts at 350,000 miles. Keep the oil changed and it might run forever! It's also a comfortable ride. I bought it when it only had 31,000 miles, I'm so glad I did. It's been a great car!"
