Pros: "Turbo engine, AWD handling, reliability"

Cons: "low gas mileage, seats are starting to show wear."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"I've owned my 2006 Subaru Legacy GT since 2007 after purchasing it with 6k miles. It has been the best car I've ever owned because the turbo engine is very responsive, the all-wheel drive handling is great and there have been no issues with reliability. The only downside of this car is the gas mileage. I average 22-24 MPG in the city and about 27 on the highway. Not great. But that's what you should expect from an AWD Turbo engine car. I've heard that these cars can have failing turbos leading to engine failure but I've not experienced that. As long as you check oil levels consistently and add a bit when needed and keep up with the maintenance schedule, this car will last a long time. I normally only keep cars for five or six years. I've had this one for over nine years because it is so great. Best. Car. Ever."

Very dependable.Good gas mileage .

2007 SUBARU LEGACY 2.5i SIDE VIEW

"First off I would have never purchased this car if my 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse V6 GTS did not get totaled by another person texting while driving and totaled my car on the highway. The reliability and performance I got from that car was "AWESOME". I would have kept that car forever. I could not find another as well maintained as mine or looked as good. So I settled for the Subaru because I like Japanese engine quality. Once I drive the car I was very impressed. There are not many Subaru's and I've only seen one other Legacy in McKinney, Texas. Yes it lacks the performance but not bad for a 4 Banger. I am 6'7" tall, 260lbs and I fit great "SHOCKED". My kinds are grown so only I drive it with the seat backed all the way. I do my own maintenance on my cars and this one is very easy to work on. It does not need special tools for simple things like brakes, plugs, hoses, oil, transmission & differential change. Belts are a snap for even a Skill level one DIY guy. That is what sold me on the car. AGAIN I love having the only LEGACY. I like being UNIQUE."

"This is a great car overall. For the price I paid, I will be keeping it until it is paid off, and very likely for a few years after. The overall vehicle has held up well. I am a little disappointed in the fit and finish of certain items. The windshield gasket started coming off so I had to glue it back down. One of the window gaskets/appearance pieces on the door has started to come off. I do find the engine power very adequate for the vehicle. I wish the transmission downshifted sooner, as I find a lag when stepping on the gas after coming out of a corner. I get an average of 27-29 MPG on every fill up. During the winter I get about 21-23 MPG. The AWD is amazing. It has come in handy during the winter. Let me tell you, the AWD is not only great in winter, it is also excellent in rain and wet weather. The car grips the road very well and gives confidence. I am never afraid to drive this car in any weather. The car is low to the ground at 5.5 inches or so of ground clearance so smashing snowbanks isn't a great idea. In times of necessity I have gone thorough things an average FWD car wouldn't go through. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone. The back seat is a little cramped but for me I don't need the back seat except for my dog. A Subaru is a dog's second best friend. I am always looking back at my car after getting out. It's a very stylish car and at 6 years old I think in the looks department it can still compete. Its got great lines and is a timeless classic. Easy to drive every day and a joy."

Pros: "Fun to drive, quick, comfortable, and reliable"

Cons: "stereo system is a bit lackluster"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I just bought the car about a month ago and so far I have no complaints whatsoever. It handles nicely. It's quick and with it being a 5 speed, I can control my fuel economy pretty well. I average about 26mpg with mixed (city and highway) driving. I really like AWD, this is the first car I've ever owned with AWD and I don't think I'll ever go back to front wheel drive. I'm really excited to see how well she handles the snow and ice that Indiana winters surely bring along with them."
