"I love my Subaru, 135,000 miles and still going strong. Perfect combination of carrying capacity and economy. Handles and accelerates well. Some minor caveats, although well designed some of the parts are made of cheap materials. I had some bolts break that shouldn't have. Also the window side windows have no frames which is an outdated design. The windows on the rear doors do not go all the way down."
"I bought this car in May 2015 with 127,000 miles.
The only thing I do not like about it is the cup holders, They spill out on corners. I do love this car everything in the right place. Good storage. Great engine. Fun to drive. Good mileage."
"Bought this car when my last car died from a mechanic. Had it for about 3 years and with the exception of a few issues this has been a great car for me. lots of room and excellent handling in the snow, I was able to get around better than many of my friends and family who have 4 wheel drive. repairs can be costly. this car went through 3 alternators while I owned it as well as a front axle and a lower control arm. I am sure part of that was due to the horrible conditions of many Connecticut roads after the winter. The cup holders in the front are cheaply made and brake easily, power antenna also difficult to replace."
"Bought this 1998 Outback Limited brand new, held on to it with little to no problems for 17 years. At 150,000 miles, however, it had several oil leaks and began over heating. Unfortunately, I put more money into it to repair than I should because in the end of it all, it still needed another $1800 head gasket change to stop the coolant leak. I will be trading it in for something else. But, it was a great car in the rain, snow, cornering & power. I was so happy and comfortable with it!"
"I've driven mine for six years. I got it when it had 132000 and it now has 186000 miles. Snow. Rain. Ice. Heat. Dirt. you name it. Drives like a dream. Handling is fantastic for a wagon form. Good on gas (I still average around 22 mpg city/hwy). I am selling it now and will miss it."
