Pros: "Great price and most reliable car I've ever owned!"

Cons: "They don't make them anymore!"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I bought this car used (one year old in 2007 with 12,000 miles). I am the 2nd owner. Now it has approximately 233,000 miles. The best gas mileage I ever got in it was 38 mpg, but I usually average 32. I've replaced the alternator and battery twice, recently replaced the shocks/struts and a few minor things besides maintenance. It has been the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. I've never had a problem with the motor or transmission (mine is an automatic). If they made this vehicle again, I would definitely buy it! I was sad to learn that Scion will be not be making vehicles after this year."

Pros: "Handling, comfort, stereo and visibility"

Cons: "Awful standard transmission and poor mileage"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 7

"The car drives well and handles great. It has a lot of space for the size of the car and with the Recaro seats it is extremely comfortable. Donwside the antenna gets NO signal which is sad because the stereo is decent and the speakers VERY good for factory. Two real negatives, the manual transmission is grindy, it shifts slow and hard. It has been checked multiple times, no clutch issue, no shifter issue, no transmission issue...it is just a poor design or a poor execution of a solid design. Also, it does not get ANYWHERE near the suggested MPG I have never crossed 27 MPG, even with 100% highway and reasonable driving speeds. I should not be surprised, this has been my experience with Toyota products in general. My old Camry never broke 22, but was supposed to get 28+ on the highway... The car is solid, drives and handles well, does everything I need it to do, but I went this small to break 30 mpg...and it is flatly NOT able to do it...."

Pros: "Great mpg 33 currently 60/40 highway city."

Cons: "Little short on HP but will do"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I really enjoy this car, seats could be better but can't ask to much. Down on horsepower but that's why I bought it to save on gas. I just have to get use to it and so far I would do it again, my wife had previously owned an 09 xD so I knew for a commuter this would work out great. Plus this is the easiest car ever to change the oil. I'm training Girl Scouts how to change oil on this car. They need to know."

Pros: "Reliable, fun to drive, good mpg"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I had researched months on different cars before I made the decision I wanted a XA. The reviews were all positive. I purchased my 2005 XA in January 2008 with 30,000 miles on it. Best purchase I made! I had 288,000 miles on it before we had a weekend of flooding rains (4 ft of water on our property) over Christmas 2015 while we were out of town. I had not had any problems with the car the whole time I owned it. Just normal maintenance things. I have driven all over the US with this car showing my Mastiff and Bulldog. The back seats fold down to accommodate my Mastiff. My automatic got on average 32 mpg. The car was sporty and comfortable for a little car. Interior never got rips. Because this car was so reliable I'm currently looking to buy another 2005 XA. I found one about 5 hours away and I'm going to drive to hopefully buy it. This is how much I believe in this car! You won't be disappointed in this little car!"

Pocket Prius

"I bought this car in 2014 to save gas and keep the miles off my truck (and save gas). I just wanted an a to b car. Well this car is nothing short of amazing. 38 mpg on the highway and rides like a car much bigger than what it is. I can fold down the rear seat, and it becomes a handy hauler. Its also loaded with a/c, power windows, locks, rear wiper/defogger and washer, 4 speed automatic, delay wipers, tilt wheel, cd player that is really powerful, great brakes, handles great (most little cars do, but this one is that good). And a rare, from the factory center arm rest that doubles as a storage compartment. I did add fog lights to it (didn't come with them) and Factory XB wheels. Very nice. Parking is fantastic. It will fit just about anywhere. As usual, you don't get much respect on the road. But nothing it can't handle there either. It will run away from most goof balls, especially in turns. I would, and have recommended this car to anyone. I would definitely buy another. I especially like the IQ. Might be the only car to replace this one. Thanks!"

"I bought this car last year as my first car and I love it. It's such a great first time car because it's easier to maneuver and learn everything on. The only thing I would complain about is like a review below, it does have a little blind spot on the left while driving but nothing that you can't work around. I definitely recommend this to anyone that wants a reliable small car especially if you live in the city!"
