Pros: "Fun to drive and easy to park, Automatic"

Cons: "Auto will go way over 100,000 miles if maintained"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"All service from 2006 has been performed by local Toyota dealer. I had driven other small cars before I bought my 2006 XA. What a mistake I had made not buying earlier Scions, as this Scion was just outstanding. Never should have fooled around with Hondas,VW, and English Fords. This vehicle is very dependable in all weather and has a Poineer sound system, and multiple speakers. I added tinted windows to it, as it came with white glass. No leaks and all systems work well. Good Price and a good deal. Toyota has a complete service history. I have all the the service slips too."

2006 Indigo Blue Scion XA

"I bought this 2006 Scion XA brand new. Sold it in 2014 at 61,000 miles, to buy a van to take camping and tow camper. Big mistake. Now looking to buy another Scion either XA or TC. I loved my XA, all I ever did was oil changes and rotate tires, never had 1 single other thing to do. It's fun to drive, corners great, great gas milage, and can always find a little nook to park in. With back seats down, I hauled my 4 little dogs, and at times 8 foot lumber etc."

"I have owned my Scion XA for three years and love driving it. Great gas milage, peppy, quick excelleration, great price, fun to drive, comfortable seats. Surprisingly roomy interior with a trunk that holds a great deal. I make a lot of Costco runs and everything fits in my Scion, even a mattress. I will probably buy another one."

Best vehicle I have ever owned.

"Absolutely dependable, reliable, great gas mileage, excellent handling, fun to drive. All I've ever done is regular routine maintenance---oil, tires, fluids. The thing is only on its second set of brakes. It has 200,000 miles on it and I'll get at least another 100,000 for sure, hopefully more. A truly fantastic car! I wish they still made it."

"We purchased this car 10 years ago to be a reliable inexpensive vehicle to use running around town. It has proven itself to be just that. I would purchase it again for the same use."

Pros: "Price per pound the best city car around!"

Cons: "AWD would be nice - but unrealistic!"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"At the time we ordered our XA, it was the best deal around for all the included standard features that would have priced us out of other comparable cars. The only added option we went for was fog lights, because they look pretty snazzy! We also opted for the 5 speed when we ordered it and I think that was the right choice. It adds pep and zip and makes this little car really fun to drive. It also helped in the Minnesota snow to be able to quick change gears and avoid getting stuck. Also, I think when compared to the available automatic, it could get slightly better mileage. We kept up 5000 mile service religiously and it really paid off. Other than brake and tire service, nothing major has been needed. The fact that Scion was new (in 2005) but essentially a Toyota made this a smart choice. I cringe that we actually considered Daewoo when we were comparison shopping for new cars!! It is a bit sad that the XA was discontinued a few years later, but excellent that Scion continues."
