"After driving a pickup truck for years I bought a VUE(owned 4 yrs now). I love the cargo room (large back area, seats fold down - it holds nearly as much as my small pickup). I do not like seats (driver is most comfortable - sitting anywhere else stinks! Not much leg room in back). I recently smelled fumes. Had to pay $400 to have the exhaust manifold replaced (shop said it was cracked & many VUEs come in for that repair). The interior has a chrome appeal - but the driver handle cut me when the chrome pealed. The c.d. player was broke when I bought it (dealer didn't tell me). There is a cubby hole to hold things - but items fly out on the floor. Odd size storage areas in the console. I like the exterior look and space, but compared to the solidness of my F-150 the VUE just seems cheaply made inside."
"It's disappointing that GM decided to not make this vehicle anymore. I have driven from Canada to Texas and all states in between and this car has been excellent. It has more than exceeded expectations in fuel economy, comfort and reliability. My only issue is that sometimes the 4 banger is a bit slight on power especially up long grades with a full load and at high elevations. I have been surprised as to how much I can pack into it with the seats lowered."
"I inherited my husband's 2008 Vue when we bought a pickup, and I have to say it's the best vehicle I've ever driven. Good gas mileage for its class, comfortable, and lots of room for hauling. The V6 has a lot of oomph, and it's very responsive. Dash is laid out well, and the controls are very accessible and easy to learn and use. Visibility is excellent. No mechanical problems at all. Perform the regular/scheduled maintenance and it should last a lifetime."
