My Vue at La Pauruse Bay, Maui, Hawaii.

"Best vehicle that I have ever owned. Very reliable, low, low maintenance. Just keep up with oil and air filter changes and you are good to go! I bought a lifetime K & N Air Filter for my Vue. Only changed the timing belt and water pump at 122,000 miles, not because of problems, but because it is recommended at 100,000 miles. Only time I had problems, was when the battery I bought to replace the original had a defect, not because of any problems with the Vue, itself! Love my Saturn!!!"

"I have had my Saturn Vue for 8 years, I am second owner... bought it at 25,000 miles and now have 175,000 miles on it. I do not want to get rid of it, it has been reliable and economical. I have hauled tons of stuff in this thing, taken on long trips. I can't say enough good things about it. As it is getting higher miles I am going to start looking for a newer vehicle soon, but I really hope I get something as good as this one on my next purchase. Have been so happy!"

Pros: "Reliable, ergo's, price, fun to drive."

Cons: "Looks, brakes (fixed with ceramic brakes)."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"My wife gets the new vehicle in our family while I get her old vehicle. I got her Astro van (meh) her Suburban (SS Titanic) and now the Vue. She was more than happy to get rid of the first two, not so much the Vue. I wasn't looking forward to inheriting the Vue, because of its boring looks, but after driving it for a few weeks I was surprisingly impressed. It has great handling, visibility, ergonomics, and pep. The HP to weight is fantastic! Just breath on the the gas peddle and you're zipping down the road. We bought the car in 2006 (used) and it has been the most reliable vehicle we've owned."

Pros: "price, drivability, mileage (for an suv), space"

Cons: "plastic finishes, road noise, maintenance expenses"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8

"Not a lot to dislike, could use a bit less plastic finishes and something more sturdy but overall it's a reliable vehicle, fits a lot things in the cargo area with or without the seats down, and it's got good drivability (speed, ability to handle curves, etc...) My only negatives are as above the plastic finishes, and that the rear seat doesn't fold flat which can be annoying depending on what you are loading into the car with the seat down. Maintenance fees are also not cheap (tires, etc...) but mileage is pretty decent for an suv of it's size, I average 22mpg doing an 80/20 split highway/city."

Pros: "Spotless, looks new, well maintained, low miles"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"This 2005 Saturn VUE is a spotless, clean, well-maintained vehicle with low miles (105,000). This car will never rust due to a fiberglass body, so it should last another 10-15 years with continued regular maintenance. $6,000 price is FIRM."

"I have kept regular maintenance on this car and it has proven to be a reliable and dependable vehicle. I enjoy its ride and convenience and the fact that it has good gas mileage. Gas mileage is lower with snow tires on. But I think that is expected. Great stereo system."
