"I am the only owner. Total cost for repairs $600.00for entire ownership.
It is very peppy. It is very safe. Uses premium gas and gas mileage in town averages 26mpg and on highway and town 30mpg. It very fun to drive."
"I bought this car 9 yrs ago for $8k it had 30k miles on it, I have put 200k miles on it and she is still going. I have only had to put money into it for normal wear and tear nothing major. I have heard horror stories about people having problems however I must be one of the lucky ones. I absolutely love this car!"
"I purchased this car new in 2006, did not have to change the battery until 2013. other than the 2 recalls the only issue I have had was a bad AC compressor. drove the car 80 miles a day to and from work. and have made many long trips. Would drive it across country today. Not the quietest car on the road but for an inexpensive economy car its fine. I hate that Saturn stopped making cars."
"purchased new as a demonstrator, stylish and great option list for our needs, the body never rusts, easy to change the oil, front drive traction and handles well in foul weather, when saturn was still around this style car was kind of before its time, made the auto brand somewhat popular, comparably with same class competition i felt was best deal"
"I got this car at 60k miles and its at about 112k. That's almost 75k miles I've put on this car. I haven't put as much work into this car as I have with other cars in this millage range. It handles, well it leaves something to be desired. It's fuel economy is great for a car this size, which is larger than a compact but not quite a Sedan. It has the 4 door suicide door setup which is cool, easy access to the the back. My biggest complaints, is that key refuses to come out, and the fuel line assembly was built poorly. Motor is great, Transmisson is great. Almost everything that was worked on in the car which is 10 years old, was all covered under warranty except fuel line, wheel bearings and the gas line. Took an impact to a deer with minimal damage. Survived 10 michigan winters, and is still running decently. I'll probally keep this car until 150k or 200k, and likely sell it."
Cons: "nothing works It continually needs something fixed"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 1
"It's a money sucker for sure. Despite the factory recall and being fixed, nothing works it seems. The heat doesn't work, a big deal for a Wisconsin winter, the actual car parts, engine, etc, are faulty and everyone I know with a Saturn Ion, detests them. They fall apart and exist solely as money pits. Not worth the money I dumped into it by far."
