Pros: "most fun on wheels, reliable, great styling"

Cons: "cost of car and cost of repairs (only 1 in 4 yrs)"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I bought a used 2007 Cayman S 4 years ago(I was the 4th owner in 3 yrs). Most reliable car I have ever owned- previous 2 were BMW 5-series, last one 540i with Sport option, and while the BMW is a lot fun to drive (realizing that comparing the 2 cars is not really fair as they have completely aims) the Cayman always leaves a smile on my face after driving. No question that I would buy another Porsche."

Cons: "Maintenance little steep, weak water pumps"

"There is not another car on the road for any price that will handle better than these cars. The S Crono model is the model to look for. These cars are very fast and a blast to drive. A good pre-owned one is some of the most driving fun you can have and they will keep up with almost anything on the road. Throw a few curves in the mix and these cars really show their true colors and will pass almost anything on the road. The build quality is also very good."

Pros: "Style / Handling / Storage Space / Gas Mileage"

Cons: "No Bluetooth"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I have had this car for awhile and it is one of the best driving cars. PASM is a must option on these cars as it changes the ride for a soft to firm with the push of a button, great for those back roads when you want to feel the car connected to the road. Navigation system is decent, but lacks Bluetooth on this model year. SportsChrono is a must option if you want to really unleash the full Porsche experience, not just for track driving either. Over all, you will be happy with this Porsche."

"No trouble save a new battery, tires and replacing the tire pressure sensors. The car is gorgeous and gets stares and compliments though it is almost 7 yrs old. It has been easy to maintain its like new look."

Pros: "Performance, style, sound"

Cons: "Weak cupholders, expected upkeep costs, rough ride"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Bought my 2008 Cayman 2.7 in 2010. After 3 years, it has been reasonably reliable. My biggest scare was a hydraulic leak from the steering rack. Although the warranty had recently expired, the dealer did their best to take care of my out-of-pocket cost. Small problems pop up here and there, and I got most of them eliminated while under warranty. Porsche's selling point is a semi-exotic car with not-quite-stratospheric upkeep costs. The prospective buyer must accept that brakes will cost over $2000, tires will be $1000+ every other year at tire shops and closer to $2000 at the dealer, annual service frequently tops $500, etc. But for a car nut, the fun to be had is more than worth the price. Post-2009 cars have a reworked suspension that rides much better. Despite that, my 2008 rides tolerably for a sports car (Honda S2000s loosen my fillings). It's got ample headroom and the seats are well designed. The driving position is amazing, and the somewhat claustrophobic cabin will grow on you. Ample luggage space (> Boxster) is just a bonus. But the best part of the Cayman is, what non-Italian sports car can come close to looking and sounding this good? (Disclaimer: I added the Sport Exhaust back onto my car)"
