Pros: "accleration; braking and handling"

Cons: "metallic black impossible to keep clean"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"I have a basalt black '07 Carerra S coupe and i really have no complaints. Bought at 29k miles and it now has 35.5k miles. Very fast and superior handling! My 2nd Carerra. One of the things I find about owning a Porsche is that you become aware of the 'pecking order' of Porsche performance. The 911 comes in a broad array of powertrains from the base car to the Turbo S. I have come to believe that the Carerra S is just about the best combination of price and performance for me, and i've driven all the models. I will drive this for a while and then....another Porsche probably."

Pros: "fun to drive, lots of power, great styling"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I've always wanted a Porsche 911 since I was knee high to a grasshopper. This car is an absolute dream to drive with no lack in performance, handling, or style. Porsche 911 has stood the test of time and continues to be a desired supercar. People always comment on the car and love to look and talk about it."

Pros: "Sports car that can be used as daily driver"

Cons: "people will stare at you and asume you have $$"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Wanted a 911 since I was 10 or 11. This is the 3rd Porsche 911 I own. been driving them for the last 6 years as my daily driver. I still grin every time I get in. They are reliable, not too bad to maintain and soo much fun to drive. Maintenance is similar to an Audi, BMW or Mercedes. I have always bought my cars pre-owned with low mileage. Make sure to buy an extended warranty, not because they are unreliable but if something is to break it will be costly. tires are expensive and don't get a lot of miles since they are soft compound. I tried cheaper tires once (hankook) and returned them in 2 days, they were terrible. This will be the only car for me from here on."

What a dream garage?

"It is a 2008 997S manual that I purchase with 70k on the tach, and have driven from Texas to Michigan, Michigan to Arizona and back, and on Boy! what a thrill to drive, especially on those lonely Arizona desert roads. I own a 87' 911 cabrio also, and the drive between them is like night and day when I drive one then the other. My wife and I like to take them both out and have litte highway bouts to see if she can keep up with me and I her, now that's exciting, so long as the law-man is not around, if you get my drift? I highly recommend that those that really like Porsches, but have not purchased their first one yet, take the dive into the deep and enjoy! I'm the second owner of this car with all the services done. Now I have just put a new set of Bridgestone's on it and a third cooler in the front bumper w/ the protective wire mesh, and the two qt. oil sump unit. Now just waiting on spring here in Michigan!"
