"What can I say. My Vibe drives like a sports car. (I didn't know this until a friend of mine who owns two Porsches drove my car with me cross country and I was amazed at the performance of my little vibe. My friend drove it like it was a Porsche- high rpm, incredible acceleration passing other cars, turning capability is awesome...grips the road really well, CG is low especially when you shift into a lower gear in a turn instead of braking. CG is perfectly placed longitudinally right at the center console so you feel centered and well planted in your seat when manuevuring. I only have the basemodel ...4 door 4 cylinder! The GT version must be even more amazing. Cargo space is incredibly great when you put the back seats down..they are perfectly flat, (not like most cars now where you put the seats down..they are still up at an angle). There is hard, highgrade plastic on all the services of the cargo space and when you fold the middle seats down they go perfectly flat , there are D rings and sliders all the way up and down the cargo space and you can fold the front seat down so that you can carry long things like boards ...the back of the front seat has a dashboard like grey plastic surface that is very strong so you can still use it to extend your cargo space or you can just put down the passengers front seat down and use it as a table for your laptop, or as a little table for a meal whatever... works great and looks nice so if  that's all you're using it for that works well. There is also a AC two prong recepticle electrical outlet plug in the console so you can plug use your cell phone charger, or even your laptop charger. ?.There is also the standard charge option from the cigarette lighter recepticle too. The steering wheel has a good grip its got good padding for a comfortable grip. all the seats in the carare really comfy.the front seats are really cushy and supportive...and lay all the way back flat.. (good to have if you are on a long trip, and need to catch a nap! The back seats are comfy too... even for adults there's room for three and also a center seat shoulder/hip seatbelt for the middle person in the backseat. I also have cargo rack on top can you can even load more up there. I've had it for over 10 years and it still looks sporty and and its shaped very aerodynamically, it's got side molding, is white and its got a moonroof and a kicker sound system which came with the car, unbelievably so American right? Fyi it has a Toyota engine and has Pontiac styling. best of both worlds right? I have been looking for a new car just because it's kind of time and I cannot find anything I like anywhere near as much as I like my Pontiac Vibe and I've been looking at a Toyota rav4 a Honda CRV Subaru Forester a Subaru Outback Subaru Crosstrek, test drove them all, including the Mazda CX-5 and a bunch of other similar brand models, and nothing comes close in terms of quality of ride, gas mileage, performance, practicality, styling, and having a kicker sound system, I just can't find anything that has all the great feautures, and comfort as my Vibe. I wish they still made new vibes, because I would buy one. FYI...the transmission failed at about a hundred and ten thousand miles, which was a shock but I couldn't find a new vehicle that I like anywhere near as much, so I went ahead and rebuilt the transmission, and its running just fine! Spending $3500 a rebuilt transmission...is much less expensive than spending $22000 for a used equivalent vehicle!. Still lovin' my Vibe!"

Pros: "very good all around vehicle"

Cons: "rattles"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I live on a dirt road which, at times, is pretty much a washboard. I loved this car but it was getting up in miles and had some rattles I could not fix. I didn't want to sell it, but with 100,000 miles on it I felt it time. It was a great car for me and my 2 dogs, I could fold down the seats and they had the whole back to move around in. Also great for hauling about anything as the front passenger seat folds flat. Really miss this car. I did buy another Vibe, a 2009, and that one is rattling a bit too."

"This is a great little car. The interior can be reconfigured easily, the seats are all comfortable, drives great in poor weather, and the whole time we've had it, the gas mileage has exceeded the average for this vehicle."

Pros: "Good all season driving. Comfortable on long trips"

Cons: "Low mpg, elec.sys.quality low, dashboard design"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 7

"One concern being the location of heating/AC/dashboard controls. The gear shift is too close to the controls making it difficult to use them when in "Park". MPG a little lower than expected (20-24 mpg.)Electrical system performance was rated low according to Consumer Reports. I found it to be true. Cruise control design/location poor Overall performance was good."
