I own this car - My approximate mileage is 134,000
overall rating 9 of 10rating detailsPros: "It could be the poor mans American Classic car"
Cons: "OK so it's a two door..."
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"It's been great on gas - and as a daily commuter it can't be beat. It's the little engine that could without hesitation. OK so it's not great for four adults - but grandkids in their carseats in the back is fine..."

I owned and sold this car
Reason: Needed 4x4 - My approximate mileage is 150,000
Pros: "MPG 26-32, reliable, inexpensive"
Cons: "body shape, small engine, basic, Pontiac Dead"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 5
"Great 1st car. Mine was a used "rental" car that Hertz sold to us. For the use/abuse I imagined it received it was in great shape when I purchased it at 75,000mi. It lasted me 6 years before I sold it. No rust, no major repairs. Only requirements were replace the fluids on time, brakes and tires. I had to replace coolant hoses once right after I bought it though because they "dried out" whatever that means. The interior is nothing to look at, the features were basic and the engine was enough to tote around places."

I owned and sold this car
Reason: Upgraded to a family vehicle. - My approximate mileage is 113,000
Pros: "Great price for a sporty looking vehicle."
Cons: "Lacked comfortability."
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8
"I owned a 2004 Sunfire that was already 5 years old with only 87K on it. Honestly, all I had to put into it (besides the normal maintenance) was a new set of brakes. It got me where I needed to go, and it had pretty good power behind it. Sadly, I had to trade it in for a "family" vehicle in September of 2011 with a little over 113k. If I could, I definitely would of kept it. The only low rating I gave was a 6/10 for comfort & convenience. Just because I wish there was more room to get comfortable. Other than that, this car is one of my favorite I had ever own!"

"have owned this car for 7 yrs, and purchased it for economical reasons mainly, was driving 160 miles daily for work and traveled north 240 miles everyother weekend, only thing I had issues with was the oxygen sensor, and replaced the water pump. it is a bit uncomfortable to travel long distance in but would feel very safe taking this car anywhere."

"I have a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire 4dr Sedan I got a few years ago with 130,000 miles and now it has a little more than 188,000. So far the only thing I have ever replaced was the alternator. it gets decent gas mileage, its lower to the ground but is amazing in snowy conditions even if there's a about a foot of snow on the ground it easily plows through. and at the rate this car is going it has lots of years left. btw i drive about 250 miles every week so its very reliable."
