Pros: "Fun to drive, practical, comfortable"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"This is such a great car. I never want to sell it. It looks much more expensive than it is. It is so much fun to drive with the top down. It gets great gas mileage. Very comfortable. Also very practical. Great cargo space and back seat for a sporty convertible. I put the top down and use it like a pickup trick too. We used it in our wedding."

Good first car!

Pros: "Fun to drive"

Cons: "1 Cupholder in the front"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8

"This car has been absolutely reliable, other than a few minor things this car has held up its end of the deal for the last 16 years. The Pontiac Sunfire made my life easy with its easy driving and good handling I'm very satisfied with it and wish Pontiac was still around to make another one!"

"This little Car has won my respect. I bought it in 2011/2012 and other than the maintenance I had to do from neglect of previous owner it has been the strongest little car I have ever owned. It has the quad 4 engine which only 15% of this year had. I have drove this car from Indianapolis Indiana to West Virginia on a half of a tank of fuel. (APPROX 7.5 gallons of fuel on a 6 hour drive) I have also driven From Indianapolis Indiana to Massachusetts and back with NO problems. Pontiac did great with this vehicle."

Pros: "Nice sporty look, american made"

Cons: "bad paint, prone to leaks."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 5

"i bought as my first car a month ago has 200k miles, i honestly was disappointed at first because i wanted something better to drive my girlfriend around in, but i love the interior. i am having it repainted either fall or winter from red to black. the cons of Pontiac is their paint does not last long at all the clear coat comes off. i cannot rate dependability because i have only driven this car once and have to wait until i can afford to place insurance on it. i honestly love the sporty look but believe the spoiler makes it look girly, i may have it removed. i picked the car up for $900 and have to put $700 in, total $1600 dollar investment"

Pros: "Still gets me and my family around."

Cons: "Doesn't have cruise and is starting to rust out"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 4

"The car isn't bad. It is starting to rust out and it's exhaust is loud, due to a hole before the catalytic converter. It isn't an ideal family car being a coupe. The fuel economy is good. I wouldn't recommend it if your looking for a more comfortable and roomy vehicle, it isn't roomy nor is it a great family car. It will get you to your destination and even if it breaks down, parts a cheap and at every scrap yard."

Pros: "Sporty fun"

Cons: "Unreliable"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 4

"This was my first car. It was so much fun. Sporty, red, convertible, cheap to buy, good on gas. I could not have been happier with a first car. That being said it was terribly unreliable. It spent a lot of time dead in my driveway. I did not abuse this vehicle in anyway. I gave it oil changes and tune ups as often as one should. It overheated often and the head gaskets blew. I eventually scrapped it. The top leaked always and the back window fell out. It never saw 170k:( But it was fun and I would recommend it as a first car. Maybe buy it with lower miles if you can."
