"a $12,000 car driven a half-million miles on the original engine and transmission. still runs today and will much longer. My ford contour died at 100,000 miles and cost me $21,000. Pontiac did right with this car."

"I have had this car since 1996 and although time has taken it's toll on the paint and carpet, this car is the most reliable and sturdy car I've ever driven. I plan to restore it. I also have a 2005 Hyundai Sonata which is a very big disappointment. It is always broken and when it breaks, I turn to my old reliable Sunbird! It has never let me down. I dare anyone to try to take it away from me!!!"

"I have only owned this car for a month, second owner. although it has such low mileage and in emmaculant original condition, the car has already tapped into funds, but when you only got a little over a thousand miles driven in a year in 20 years you gotta expect things won't be absolutely perfect due to age wear. but all in all this seems like a car that a mechanic such as myself will have no problem with another 20 years."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 156,000
overall rating 8 of 10rating detailsPros: "fun to drive and is a very nice car to cruise Ocean Blvd in Myrtle Beach"
Cons: "Don't know of any"

"I am the second owner of a 1991 Sunbird LE Convertable. I have completely restored the car except for the engine. My Mechanic told me with 156000 miles it was in great shape. I run Valvoline full syn oil in the motor and 5 speed transmission. The car drives great and runs strong. My wife and I love cruising around Pinehurst in the car with the top down. I still have the owners manual, and the window sticker when it was new. the car was originally red with a white top. I had it painted Corvette red and put a black top, with black pin striping on side. I have found that Turtle wax trim polish makes the black rubber on the bumpers and the sides shine like brand new. This is a sharpe little car and a lot of fun to drive."
