Pros: "sporty looking mid-sized car, v6 engine, reliable"

Cons: "they are no longer made"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8

"I have owned this car since I bought it new in 2005 and outside of regular maintenance expenses, there have only been a couple somewhat inexpensive repairs totaling about $1500. This car has been reliable and I have always loved the v6 engine as it is nice to have a car with some power."

Drives great, when it's not needing a repair

Pros: "Nice power when driving, trunk space"

Cons: "Needs frequent repairs, lack of reliability"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 3

"I have owned this car nearly 10 years. Got it from a big dealership at 27k miles. It drives well when it doesn't need a repair. The trunk is nice on the car, I have appreciated the space. The interior design is nice, not luxurious but nice. Now for the bad. Here is a small list of the repairs I have made, and I probably don't remember them all: Wheel bearing, rack and pinion, water pump, needed new exhaust assembly (not sure what the name was exactly) which cost $1k to repair and was causing heat not to work, emissions solenoid vent canister. And now it's having a problem where the check engine light comes on and another sensor is probably broken. At this point it has 138k miles and I will probably trade it in while I can still get $3k from a dealer and not have to sink any money into it. I know for a fact I have spent probably $3k on repairs alone for this car in 100k miles of driving. That is ridiculous. I'm going to trade it in so it doesn't completely make me broke repairing it. Seeing all the different reviews, I may have just gotten a lemon, not sure. Either way I wouldn't buy a Pontiac again."

Perfect first fast car. It will touch 150's mph.

"This was my first car that I bought for something besides getting from A to B. I wanted to have some fun with it and it delivered. I recommend to any drivers who want to get used to going fast."

Pros: "Reliable , Fast , Comfortable , Spacious , Looks"

Cons: "Discontinuing the Grand Prix !!"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"The Pontiac Grand Prix was my very first car. It was definitely a blessing to have drove this car. It was reliable , comfortable , and it was fast. I never had any issues with the car other than my battery dying. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone. Mine is a 203k miles and still running no issues at all !! It also is a beautiful car inside and out. It will seat comfortably for anyone who is taller & it also has a very spacious trunk ! If I ever come by another at the price I got it for I will not be hesitant to buy another one !"

Pros: "Supercharged V6, Reliability, Leather, Sunroof."

Cons: "Tight back seat, could use better materials."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I bought my 2004 Grand Prix GTP about 2 years ago with about 54,000 miles on it and now have close to 80,000 miles on it. I'm very happy and surprised by this car. Ive never owned a GM vehicle before and this one is pretty good. I love the 3.8 Supercharged V6, leather seats, sunroof and satellite radio. The interior could have used some better materials but that was kind of par for the course for early 2000's GM cars. In my opinion a much nicer car than Impala of that time. I just wish the back seat was more usable. For the most part unless its super windy of course, the wind and road noise is kept in check. The only major grip i had is that the former owner didn't change the coolant when they were supposed to. So i had to get the engine manifolds changed out. Oh, and one more thing. The car takes the curves pretty darn well."

Reason: 3rd torque convertor was starting to fail

Pros: "reliable, great value for the money, large trunk"

Cons: "legroom in the back due to larger trunk"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Bought this car with 158 miles on it. Daily, highway commuter 108 miles round trip. This car hums along at 75 without issue. Plenty of power and good body lines, it is a great value if you want a good looking, reliable, mid size car. First tranny failed at 156K. Rebuilt tranny and installed new torque convertor. Second torque convertor failed at 240K. Third torque convertor started to fail at 260K which is when I traded it in. I have reason to believe that the installer damaged the third convertor during installation. I've owned many cars, and this has been one of the best."
