"We bought this car new in 2003 for 16K. It now has 218,000 miles on it and it is still going pretty strong. When I compare it to newer vehicles, it has a heavier body. It seems more solid. I like the plastic molding as it does not rust. It gets about 21 mpg. It handles very well in winter (snow/ice) with front wheel drive and sits high off the ground. The heavier front end helps with winter driving and vehicle control. Engine components, battery and headlamps are difficult to get to as the hood compartment is compact. We even had a trailer package installed aftermarket and use it to tow small trailers, jet skis, etc. We keep it maintained and have had to change out some things here and there, but as long as it keeps running I think we'll hold on to it. It still looks good for its age. A few things like if a lamp goes out on just part of the dash, you have to replace the whole module. It don't like that. Other than a few minor issues that don't affect performance, it's held up very well. We have a manufacturers sunroof and have had leakage issues for years now, but we found a remedy. I'll never have another car with a sunroof, but I can't give this one up until it's had enough."
Pros: "Great Price and very dependable and reliable car."
Cons: "No cons."

"I bought a red Pontiac Aztek back in 2001 and I can say I am a proud owner. It's like a Timex takes a licking but keeps on ticking. Garage kept since I bought it makes it still look new. No one knows it's a 2001 they think it's a 2010 etc. I will keep this car till the wheels far off so to speak! Runs great and has never let me down. There have been a view headaches but what car doesn't have them. My car and I got through it together with the right mechanic. Wish they would make them again. The color red was the only reason I decided to take a chance on this car. I don't think it's ugly. I guess I was lucky I lived close to my work and that I had a garage to keep my car in."
"It may be kind of ugly, but this car really serves it's purpose. I bought mine at 185,000 miles and have driven it about 15,000 more, and it's worked wonderfully. I have had the odd repair here and there (an alternator and fuel pump), but for the most part, this thing is reliable and drives well. It's smooth, has a good suspension, very good steering, good in snow, decent tower, decent gas mileage, and comfortable. It isn't perfect, obviously - but it's 17 years old and over 200,000 miles and still drives perfectly well. Really like the steering especially! Visibility isn't great, but it does alright. It's mostly plastic, so it doesn't rust - pros and cons of that are obvious."
"People say it is ugly and weird. It loses its value quickly.I think it drives just fine. It lasts. The gas mileage gets 20 mpg average. It has an option to fold down the seats and add a tent and sleep in it. If you like camping but prefer to stay off the ground then that is a plus."
