"Great interior design. Nice exterior looks until the paint peeled.
Transmission failed around 110,000 miles just like previous Grand Caravan.
Some electrical issues.
Everything really started to deteriorate around 170k miles.
Good suspension. Ours had the towing package."
"Dependable. Workhorse. Normal mechanical problems for a car of this age with so many miles. Interior has really held up, too. After 16 years and 230,000, traveling all over the Western United States and Canada, this van has NEVER left us stranded."
"This van is great for me. I use it to get too and from school. I also use it to relax during breaks. since there is a power port in the back i can plug in my phone while laying down in the back seat. I dont think i can say anything bad about this van itself, except since i'm 6' i dont really fit on one chair longways. so i might have to take a chair out soon."
"My parents bought this car new, and I've since inherited it. She's clocked in over 273,000 miles and just won't stop running. She's been amazingly reliable over the years, surviving much newer models and needing, ultimately, fewer repairs than my parents' newer cars.
That said, a basic knowledge of vehicular care is nice to have. Her oil needs to be checked/filled once a week or so (that's just our car, from what I've heard), and a few other (very basic) things need to be checked every so often.
All in all, very reliable, very comfortable to drive (if a bit finicky on colder days), and a great car to own for decades with just a smidgen of loving care."
"This van has been very reliable. Plenty of room for the whole family of six on vacations. Never had to do any major overhaul on anything. Ameican made and over 200,000 miles that says something! We we the second owners first owners were rear ended had it fixed and sold it to us with 90,000 miles on it. Good Car"
"I have owned this van since May 1999 and it just turned over 400,000 miles! Original Motor and Transmission! So when I finally hit that magic mark...I went out and bought a new one! BTW, I couldn't bring myself to trade it in(because they weren't going to give me much for it anyways)...so I think I will donate it to a good cause!"
