Pros: "Fun to drive, great mileage, reliable"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I bought my 2000 Plymouth Breeze on October 9, 2004 with approximately 52,000 miles, and it's still going strong-123,000 miles later. I used to drive it 400 miles a week for a job, I thus had to drive 55 on the L.A. freeways most of the time, as gas hit as high as $5.00 a gallon in L.A. in those days. I'll let you in on a little secret. You CAN get OVER 500 miles on a single tank in this car-I've done it three times. The Plymouth Breeze is the best car I've ever owned. It's roomy, reliable, and has the best turning radius of any car I've ever owned. You can make U-turns where MOST cars its size have to make three-pointers. Am I selling this car? NO WAY! They don't make Plymouths anymore, so I might actually be INTERRED in it!"

Underrated Chrysler product

I owned and sold this car
Reason: Engine suddenly lost a lot of oil, never found out why, deemed not worth fixing

Pros: "Fantastic gas mileage, tough engine, low price"

Cons: "Old sensors, unreliable overdrive"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"I bought it at 19 for $500, it had 135,017 miles on it. I had no money at the time and couldn't afford to fix any of the problems it had, I drove it on 3 cylinders for 6 months until I could finally afford to do repairs. Once that was solved (needed a tune up) the car ran great and averaged 33 MPG (2.0L SOHC engine, same as the one used in the Dodge Neon) I did have issues with old sensors needing to be replaced, the overdrive didn't work (still shifted fine on gears 1-4) and the car would need a quart of oil every month, but I could easily count on it to make the 50 mile round trip to work everyday for 3 years. Over that 3 years, I put $3,000 in new parts and service to make it work, and I drove the car 36,500 miles before I finally retired the car (engine was still running). So that translates to ownership costs (not counting oil, tires, battery or coolant which every car goes through) of less than $1 for every 10 miles of driving. Very reliable, in fact, I wish I could find another one."

Pros: "great on gas, great heater & airconditioner"

Cons: "interior & exterior need good cleaning &polishing"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8

"Think it still has alot of miles left in it. Definitely would need tires and alignment with a good tune up and you would have a nice little car. Interior only needs a good detailing and would look almost new inside."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8

"I purchased my '97 Plymouth Breeze from a private dealer 4 years ago and the car has been very reliable, reasonable to fix, and comfortable to drive. It is coming time for me to move on from this car, but I am very pleased with my decision to purchase this car and would again if I had to do it over again."

Pros: "Performance, Spacious Interior, reliability"

Cons: "Gas Mileage, Trunk Space, Ergonomics"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I've had the one Im reviewing for 1 year and besides normal maintenance and repairs, it's been a great car. The car has been dependable and gets my family anywhere. I've had three of them and they've all done well. I even sold one to a family member who still drives it today. Handling is secure. The ride can be jittery. Gas mileage is so-so. Power is sufficient as long as you don't get the base 2.0L engine with the automatic. You can usually pick up a low mileage model fairly cheap. It reminds me of my 1990 Accord I had before. Spirited performance, reliable, cheap to repair (for the D.I.Y.), and large interior.I would recommend this car to people who need a nice daily driver or for a teenager learning how to drive."
