Pros: "reliable, comfortable roomy as heck"

Cons: "some odd GM-y interior quirks"

loading up the band Atom Strange after another show. @Mesa Boogey pa's, 2 Orange head units, guitars, and a drumset. oh,yeah, and the band, too!

"i bought this van in 2007 with the birth of my son, our 3 child. we needed the room and a dealer friend told me it became available. he didn't do me any real favors on the price, but it was in great shape. i really wanted the Honda or Toyota van, but as i do ALL my own work, i know how inexpensive GM parts are. as it turns out, with the extended wheelbase, there is really a ton more room with all the seating up. i regularly drive to NYC from New Haven with a van full of people and a fully assembled 6" dobson telescope in the cargo area, along with accessories, a step stool and a 2 wheeled dolly! this car has never missed a beat, is comfortable and deceptively fast. i get around 27 mpg highway, but 18 overall. irt is pretty heavy for the engine"

Pros: "reliable, safe, good buy, well maintained"

Cons: "front bumper cosmetic paint issue, stained carpet"

"This is my one owner family van that I purchased new from Oldsmobile in 1999. This van reliably transported 3 children to and from every event they needed to get to. It also transported us safely on many family vacation road trips across the United States. Now the children are young adults and I do not have the need for the van any longer."

Pros: "Reliable car and has many great features for a 98!"

Cons: "If you ask my son: "it is a mini van""

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"We were very fortunate to purchase the '98 van for our son to get to / from college and work. Van only had 42,000 miles when we got it. In a year, we have put 15,000 miles on it. Some minor repairs but car has survived two fender benders and is still kicking. It has very little rust (she was kept in the garage prior to purchasing). Might not want another mini van as the kids go off to college but it has been a great addition to our family."

"It's a nice car. Easy to drive. It can give you some driving fun. Don't expect it too much. Not for young driver or learner."

"I use this minivan for my work van and when the relatives come into town, we load up the seats and drive away! It holds a full 8x4 sheet of plywood and many hundreds of pounds of tools and materials! I took this van when it had only 165,000 miles on an extended trip to Vegas loaded with 3 people and lots of work equipment. She rode slowly with all that weight and the air working(100 degrees +) but she got us there and back again to Minnesota. She shifts hard these days but I look at her as a grand old lady who has been the beauty at the ball and now is aging gracefully. I'll be sorry to drive her to the junk yard."

Pros: "Great ride - lot of room"

Cons: "See traction sensor note below"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"Has been an excellent vehicle. If Olds was still in business I would buy another one this week! 204000+ miles and still uses NO oil! Only hassle has been the traction system - could use a major revision as you cannot replace only the sensor, you have to replace the entire hub/bearing assembly at a significant cost. Have made up to 29.7 MPG on the highway."
