Pros: "I got it for a great price"

Cons: "Everything breaks at once"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 1

"I bought this when I was 17. It was my first car so it didnt matter if I had a new car. But I loved it the first year I had it. Nothing broke and everything was running well. Then the second year came and literally everything broke. The radiator was terrible, I had leaks everywhere, and the interior was all falling apart. My windows all broke and so did the air conditioner. My tires always went flat and everywhere I went they never knew why. Whenever I turned my car shook and I got my tires realigned and didnt really fix it. It always made weird rattling noises but I kept taking it to the shop and nothing was ever wrong. Then my radiator and the input cracked and I have decided to stop putting more money on it to fix it. It has givin me so much issues in the last four years and I am ready for a new car. Dont ever get an oldsmobile!"

Pros: "Comfortable, quiet, cheap to run, roomy"

Cons: "3.8L V6 is thirsty"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I bought this car used with about 160K miles on it and it's been good to me. It has the 3800 Series III Buick engine and has been very reliable and the maintenance costs are low. GM has put this block in cars since the 80s, so parts are cheap and plentiful. The car needs a throttle sensor to correct the transmission's shifting issues, but that's the worst I've had. It's comfortable on long-distance trips and handles as good as a comparable import. The most complaints I've heard from Intrigue owners tend to be from the optional 3.5L Cadillac engine. Avoid that engine and you'll have a car that can last up to 250K miles before it needs major work."

Pros: "smooth driving, looks cute"

Cons: "unreliable"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 2

"This car is super cute and the speakers sound great. However, this car is not the most reliable. I have owned this car for two years and my mom had it for a year before me. In the past three years I have had to replace the motor, the starter, and have had to make many other mechanical repairs. My granny also has this same car and she was had a lot of trouble with her's too. I would not recommend this car unless you like spending your time on the side of the road."

Pros: "great car worth every penny"

Cons: "no mechanics can figure it out"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"I bought this car from and elderly man with about 38,000 miles so I am the second owner. It has gotten me through college and never failed to start. Took it for the 100,000 mile tune-up at a local dealership. Have gotten oil changed every 3,000 miles and replaced tie rods, brakes, rotors recently. I have replaced 3 outta 4 window regulator motors in the last few years. The car just hit 150,000 and started to run a though it is chugging or misfiring, have taken it to several different mechanics and none have fixed the problem despite of trying the multiple fixes suggested. It still starts right up and roughs as though it's misfiring, if a mechanic could figure it out and fix it I would drive it forever until it dies."

Pros: "Comfortable, low maintenance, lots of room"

Cons: "Wiring problem, most parts are expensive"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8

Just made it to 200K miles.

"2000 Olds, best car I've owned. It has over 200K miles on it now and with only a transmission replaced, brakes done twice, one radiator and one alternator. Even after all this time the engine still has loads of power. Its the perfect car if you do a lot of long distance driving because there is so much cabin space and the seats are very comfortable, I definitely recommend satellite radio for this car. I would buy it again for sure. Paint is in good condition with minimal attention, there is a wiring problem with the front turn signals but its easily fixed. It is such a comfortable car and enough room in the trunk and front/back seat."

Pros: "Handling/Engine Power/Comfort/Fuel Econ/Everything"

Cons: "They don't make OLDS Intrigues anymore :("

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I bought a 2002 intrigue about two years ago. The person I purchased the car from wanted $2,300 bucks but I got her down to $1,750. My intrigue is hands down a total dream. The miles when I bought the car were 215,000 miles and still runs like a top. The only problem was a bad A/C and shocks/struts. I fixed them both myself saving tons of money. My car starts every time with no problem, the steering is tight and light and it rides smooth, and has more than enough pep. The gas millage is amazing. Early this year I drove the car from Wichita Kansas to Amarillo Texas on one tank with an average of 36 miles/gallon, (a 420 mile trip). INS and tags are cheep and parts are easy to find. I love my car so much I found a 99 intrigue and snatched it up for only 500 bucks. It too is in great shape. The previous owner hit a curb and messed up a few minor parts, like the lower control arm, along with some normal wear and tear I figure with six or seven hundred bucks she'll be as good as new. I cannot wait to own two Intrigues to drive around in. If you are looking for a great car that reliable, great on gas, with tons of power that is also very affordable then get an intrigue."
