Pros: "very reliable, drives great, decently powerful"

Cons: "poor gas mileage"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"My first car was a Cutlass GLS. It was given to me by my dad when I was 16; he had already driven it for a couple years prior. It had about 160k miles on it when I got it. Long story short, I drove my Olds for over six years and it never once broke down or left me stranded. I took cross country trips in it, I neglected the heck out of it for the first few years, I drove it pretty hard and it never let me down. The only thing I ever did to this car other than basic maintenance was replace all the hoses, the alternator brackets, and the oxygen sensor (car still ran okay, but I couldn't pass my ATL emission test without replacing it). All of that total was maybe $300. To this day my family still has this car and it still runs and drives fine, with over 200k miles on it. The interior is pretty beaten up now, but overall it's held up really well; better than on my dad's 2002 Lincoln with 50k less miles. They're hard to find, but if you want a reliable car, they're a great choice. I loved my Olds. There's not much bad I could think to say about it."

Pros: "Great gas mileage"

"I get 28 to 30 mpg when driving on the highway and 19-22 mpg in the city. That is amazing for 17 year-old car (1998)."

Pros: "Reliable, good sized car and good gas milage"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I have put around 100k miles on this car with minimal mechanical issues. Replaced wear and tear parts. harmonic balancer went out but relatively simple fix. a/c still works all power works. All around great car. Drove cross country at 31 mpg. Smooth ride and handles better than any cars in its class at the time. Have a new car but cant seem to part with it, because it has been such a great car"

Pros: "TOUGH ENGINE, GO CART HANDLING"

Cons: "FRONT SEATS NOT COMFY"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 6

"Great car owned by granny & garaged up to 83k when I got it 2010. This car takes a massive beating by my right foot and I drive it 100 miles round trip. some days 80 mph and she flies. Today she has 153k runs strong, a few minor issues that I don't care if I fix or not. Back window not working, rear defroster, 1 abs sensor. The seats are not the most comfy and it took me awhile to get use too. I see lots of them around. IF YOU CAN GET YOUR HANDS ON ONE MAKE SURE IT WAS GRAMPY/GRANNY OWNED."
