"I purchased this car used with 70K miles on it. I have driven now to over 300K miles. No major mechanical issues ... brakes, radiator and some minor repairs. Keep changing the oil and rotating the tires and it will run longer. Has been a really good car for me. GM really made a great car with this. And now Oldsmobiles are a thing of the past ... too bad, I have owned 5 of them. Cannot go wrong buying a used one of these."
Pros: "Great color, ride and reliability for reasonable $"
Cons: "Headliner, cracking seats,, etc. issues"

"Great daily driver. Body is above average, very few dents, no major damage ever as far as I know, have owned for about 10 years or so. Runs smooth, steers smooth, rides smooth. Interior could use some elbow grease, headliner, fabric repair. Interior light above rear view mirror needs replaced. Leather seats cracking, stained in spot. No detailing has been done, ready for a new owner. Can't complain about this car at all for the reliable service it has provided. Great for student, or for a winter vehicle for anyone."
Pros: "pleasure to drive, great gas milage, very nice lin"
Cons: "no cd player or aux inputs"

"Bought this car 20 years ago. All original except battery, tires and brake pads. Still rides like a dream an gets 30mpg on highway. Plenty of power and extremely smooth. Wish they still made this car,as I would definitely buy another. Still looks new. Leather interior still fresh and new."
"Bought this car used from original owner who was a pilot. He also changed out transmission once with GM replacement. Engine runs smooth and no oil leaks, gets over 25 mpg and love being able to roll down all the windows and not being blown away."
"I purchased this car for a 25 mile daily highway commute. It had extremely low miles when I purchased it (Appx 65,000) I have flawlessly maintained it with regular fluid/filter changes and proper scheduled maintenance. Other than the replacing of the alternator at 110,000 I have not had a single costly repair. Taking the car down the highway is one of the most pleasant driving experiences I have ever had. The acceleration is seamless and smooth. The power-steering is so effortless you can make a U-turn using nothing more than your pinkie. The seats are so comfortable they would give lay-z-boy a run for their money. Like any american car there are some maintenance cost associated with ownership, and the eighty-eight is no different. The car can go from a reliable daily driver to a "hoopty" in no time at all without proper care. If your in the market for something inexpensive and comfortable I would HIGHLY recommend this car. Its been quite a few years I have had this car and it has never let me down."
