Nissan's full-size half-ton pickup is a force to be reckoned with, especially if you're one of the big three domestic pickup manufacturers. Available in King Cab and Crew Cab configurations, the Titan is loaded with useful features, such as the King Cab's rear-hinged half doors that swing open almost 180 degrees and an infinitely-adjustable track system built into the bed. With a tow rating of 9,500 pounds and a 1,500-pound payload rating, there is not much the Titan can't handle. The Titan features a rugged body, stiff chassis, powerful engine, a modern interior and a very appealing assortment of innovative features. You'll Like This Car If...

We found the Titan's V8 engine felt strong at all speeds, with loads of power on demand. The five-speed automatic transmission shifted smoothly and the gated shifter made it easy to move between first and second gears whenever we needed to apply engine braking. You may notice that some vibration gets telegraphed through the steering wheel, and that there is a noticeable exhaust note upon application of the throttle.
Still, the Titan delivers a smooth, controlled ride and exhibits better-than-average steering and handling response. Another noteworthy feature is the Titan's optional locking rear differential, a first for this segment.
Wide-Swinging Rear Door
The hinged rear door on the King Cab model swings back 168 degrees to create exceptionally convenient interior access.
Exterior Storage Box
The Titan's exterior storage box (located behind the left rear wheel) is perfect for storing such items as jumper cables or muddy clothing.
