The new Sentra isn't as fun to drive as the Ford Focus, Mazda3 or Dodge Dart, and it's not as isolated from the noisy, bumpy world as the Chevy Cruze.
Even though it rides, handles and responds very well, how the new Sentra drives is one of the least remarkable things about it. The uninitiated might need some time getting used to the continuously variable transmission (CVT) – a gearless automatic – but Nissan is doing CVT better than anyone and in some applications we're starting to prefer it to a traditional automatic. Pros: "MPG, Cabin Quality, Smooth and easy ride."

"After reading the reviews and doing my homework I decided to go with the Sentra. As others have noted the performance is on par with the size of the engine (If you want MPG, you gotta lose power). Commuting 50 miles daily I am very satisfied with the power, mileage is GREAT and the seats are very comfortable in my opinion. The finishes in the cabin are a lot better than some competitors and the ride is quite comfortable both in the city and highway. All in all I am very happy with my purchase and I would advise you to give the Sentra a fair shake if your looking in the compact segment!"

"this is my first brand new car, and i absolutely love it. i read many reviews about it and that didn't do justice. this car is simply amazing. it is like a mix between the maxima and altima but for an excellent price. perfect for city driving. clings to the road like a race car but with great gas mileage. so many luxuries. i have the SV and i wouldn't change a thing about it. seems very reliable and easy to adapt to all the new things. i highly recommend this car to anyone. at first i didnt know the seat could rise and lower, but once i figured it out...PERFECT!"
