For 2012, Nissan adds a Special Edition package to the Rogue lineup that includes steering-wheel audio controls, RearView monitor, a USB port, satellite radio, foglights and more. All 2012 Nissan Rogue crossovers also receive a new Sport mode switch for the CVT transmission, while the SL package gains the Around View Monitor that displays a 360-degree view outside the vehicle.
For 2011, the Rogue receives a newly styled front end, new wheels and more available features including navigation, rearview monitor, USB port for iPod connectivity, 18-inch wheels and automatic climate control.
With gas prices rising in recent years and consumers looking towards more cost-effective transportation, it is no surprise that so many automakers have joined the small-crossover party, offering SUV-like vehicles with much more agreeable fuel economy. This year Nissan decided to throw its hat into the ring, introducing the aggressively-styled and nimble Rogue. The base model is comparatively bare (to meet its under-$20,000 price-point), but the long list of available features, including Bluetooth and all-wheel drive, means that the Rogue can be customized to suit just about any lifestyle. The Rogue stands to compete in a rapidly growing segment, against the likes of the established and successful Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4 and the redesigned Saturn VUE. With competitors like these and a lack of an available V6, the Rogue's price and fuel economy may be its best selling points.

"i've had this 2008 rogue for 3 months and almost 9000 miles and love every mile of it. i didn't want a big vehicle to replace by totalled grand caravan; but wanted many of the bells and whistles. best is the moonroof, BOSE sound system, bluetooth. CVT took some getting used to (sounds like the clutch slipping when flooring it), but very happy with the pick up for a 4 banger. mileage has been excellent - cruising on flat roads at 55-60, i can average over 30 mpg. if you need a big vehicle, with power to tow and carry lots of stuff, don't get this. but if you need something for commuting (i drive over 160 miles/day), am almost 6' and occasionally carry my wife, 2 adult children, and some gear (and Scotties), then this is perfect."

"I love this car. I was looking for a small suv and had eliminated all but the Toyota Rav and the Rogue. The smoothness of the ride finalized my decision. It also had a smaller price tag and the smart key option which is great and keeps you from misplacing your keys. The interior looks expensive compared to the Rav and the controls are easy to adjust without having to read the manual. I've only owned iit for 1 month but I would buy it again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a small suv. There is also plenty of legroom in the backseat for a man 6 feet tall or better. I am also getting over 400miles on a tank of gas with hwy and city driving mixed. Go and test drive one and see for yourself."

"Cheap maintenance. Quite and easy to drive. Also can save much gas while you are not embarrased by the internal space of your car."
