I own this car - My approximate mileage is 110,000
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsPros: "Reliability, versatility, comfortable ride"
Cons: "plastic bumpers"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"I purchased my Nissan Pathfinder in February 2000 while I was still in college. I was so young that my father had to cosign the loan with me! I paid the car off in 2004 and haven't had a car payment in nine years. I have been very diligent about maintaining the vehicle and I've followed the factory recommended maintenance schedule, although I use local auto repair shops, rather than the dealership to do the work. Thirteen years later, I still drive this car every day. It has NEVER let me down regardless of the type of driving I do-- city, long distance, hot weather, freezing weather-- the Pathfinder handles it all very well. From a cosmetic standpoint, the exterior body has held up very well, although the plastic bumpers have always been vulnerable to scratches. The interior leather is still in fine shape. Again, I have maintained the interior with care. Yesterday I had the Pathfinder serviced and the mechanic told me that I would get at least another 100,000 miles out of it, if not more! My husband winced when I told him that because he thinks I am crazy to drive a 13-year old car. It'll be a classic by the time I am willing to part with it!"

I owned and sold this car
Reason: More things broken than functional :( - My approximate mileage is 191,750
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"I bought my Pathfinder with 41K miles off of a lease. From there that beautiful truck gave me 13 1/2 years of excellence. Never stranded, no major repairs. I've traveled plenty over multiple states and have loved every mile of the 151,000 I put on it. It's fun to drive and hugs curves. Has pick up like you wouldn't believe. When you put your foot on the gas it GOES. During the past couple years, old age and beach life have taken their toll on my beloved truck. Outside has begun to rust and it has a bunch of engine leaks. Sunroof quit working as did the cruise control, tachometer gauge freaks out, passenger window goes down but not up. Even with these things wrong I still couldn't be pried out of it. I'm 40 yrs old with 6 yr old twins and my family kept trying to talk me into another vehicle. My answer was always no. Then the a/c compressor went out. Unfortunately that was the final straw. It just didn't make sense to keep repairing. I cried as it was taken away. Will always remember that truck and the good times we had. Would have kept it forever if it could have held up."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 371,500
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsPros: "Dependable and easy to Maintain"
Cons: "Better gas mileage would be great"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"I bought my Pathfinder new in 1998 with only 3 miles on it. It has far exceeded my expectations. I have over 371,000 original one Owner miles on it, and it still runs strong. I've invested time and money in keeping the maintenance up. I'm hoping to reach my goal of getting over 400,000 miles on it. I can't justify getting rid of my Pathfinder considering all the the major components on the vehicle are less than year old. I'm looking forward to many more miles in my Pathfinder."

"I bought this car in 2001 and have literally driven it all across the US. This car has seen every state in the lower 48-some of them twice !! I hate to think I will eventually have to give it up. No major repairs/replacements - just well maintained and very well built. If only every vehicle was made like this one."
