"we bought this used corporate lease Maxima and loved it. however, the front wheel drive turn radius is a negative for negotiating parking lots and any tight turning. acceleration with 3.5 liter v-6 is vibrant. fit and finish are terrific. road noise depends on tire quality and condition. 18 inch wheels require the low-profile tires which allow many road bumps to make it to the driver and passengers. overall, excellent vehicle. our second Maxima..."
"This is my first Nissan - 2005 Maxima SL- (lease). This car is unique; it wants to go fast and is. The ride is fairly good but could be smoother. The cornering is excellent.
I am a little uncomfortable with weight. It seems very light and I would be very hesitant about pushing it to 90 or 100 mph.
I do not like to engine sound. It sounds cheap. The indash turn signals need to be redesigned or relocated. During the daytime, I can't tell if the turn signals are on or off.
Although the right front axle was replaced, under warranty, I'm now hearing a knuckling sound from the right front wheel when I turn left. It's almost like a worn ball joint sound.
In all, the car has a surprisingly great resale value, good looks, and a reliable reputation.
This is not a car for your teenager to borrow."
