Pros: "Tough looking, Good Off Road, Reliable, Quiet"

"My 2014 Frontier is great. 4.0L SV 4x4 with Manual 5-speed. Like a big metal dog it's been sturdy reliable and got me through a year of adventures without missing a beat.
There's a concern that the Trans fluid can mix with the coolant because of radiator failure, this was fixed 10 years ago: thus not a concern on newer models. Seriously, people are still writing about this and it's ancient history. If your interested in an old one sure, look into that. This review is for the 2014, NOT THE 2005.
Compared to Taco, it's only competition: Realize people, Toy has a service department at every dealership because they break as all cars & trucks do. The two trucks are extremely comparable, the Nissan has more power and is slightly smaller. Toy has better resale and strong aftermarket, but considerably more expensive. Both are biblically better than their American counterparts in every way, especially when it comes to long term use. They are both great choices. Both need an update equally though. Expect that from both companies in the next couple years. Hopefully they don't 'fix" what isn't broken when doing so.
I plan on having my Frontier for a very long time. I've driven it through a river, over deserts and mountains, on & off-road, loaded and unloaded. It doesn't get stuck and never dies, and still looks new after over a year of all types of driving conditions. It also isn't as common as some other trucks on the road so people know it's me coming.
The downfalls of ownership vs other vehicles- It just feels like 2005 inside and out. Gas mileage isn't great but that's the trade off for toughness and traction.
If you're in the market for a good ol' tough little truck this is a great choice. It's inexpensive compared to it's competition and very good. Has everything you need, nothing you don't. It isn't going to drive or feel like a luxury car but it goes through anything, anywhere, doesn't break."
Cons: "You won't get over $125,000 without spending $$$$"

"A known issue with these trucks is that the radiator fluid leaks INTO the transmission and vice versa. I have spent about $5,000 now trying to get the damage fixed and am still having troubles. I will never buy another Nissan again. They told me it wasn't covered because I had surpassed the mileage of my warranty, yet they knew about this problem and nobody told me when I could have gotten it fixed long ago, when it was still covered.
The turning radius is worse than any truck I've ever owned, even far larger ones. It turns like a boat.
The interior is pretty basic compared to most vehicles of the same year and price range."
"This truck has served our family well in providing a 4-door vehicle that has great carrying capacity. We have an aluminum cover over the bed so we have lockable storage, which makes it even more versatile. I haven't had any mechanical problems and we have moved from Utah to Texas in the truck. It rode great and handled well totally loaded."
Cons: "Gas milage poor , Confort of interior not good"

"It has been a good truck, My dislikes are gas milage is not that good as i could get same milage n fullsize truck. Interior seat material is not that good as i have 40000 miles ad material starting to wear out. The metal that Nissan uses is very thin compaired to american trucks as it gets dents very easy. Its ok but next truck will not be a Frontier"
Cons: "Needs replaceable batteries for the valve stems."

"This truck should get more notice by buyers. Its beats the Toyota trucks by a long shot and as most after market parts builders and magazines say, it is not a Toyota. What a bunch of bad stuff. This truck is all I could ever want in a truck and it rides like a Cadillic in the woods with all the power you would want, plus good MPG's to boot. The only thing I have did to this truck is replace the radiator and the valve stems because the batteries went dead. A better truck at a great price."
