For 2013, the Nissan Armada now offers Bluetooth, a USB port, sliding sun visors with courtesy light and a 4-way power passenger seat on the entry level SV trim. A new Platinum Reserve package adds 20-inch dark chrome rims, dark chrome trim and 2-tone leather seating. The SV and SL models can now be equipped with dual 7-inch rear seat monitors, which are standard on the Platinum model.
The 2012 Nissan Armada SUV receives some minor upgrades including a power rear liftgate and heated front seats now standard on the SL trim. The Platinum trim receives standard heated second-row seats and a padded center armrest with the Captain's-chairs option.
Nissan's mammoth Armada SUV may not have the name recognition shared by the long-running Chevrolet Suburban or Ford Expedition, but it certainly has the ability to steal market share from the domestic duo. The Armada shares its rugged boxed-frame chassis with Nissan's other big truck, the Titan. Equipped with a 317-horsepower V8 engine, the Armada can haul a family of eight and pull a 9,100-pound trailer without breaking a sweat. Where the Armada differs most from its domestic rivals is its styling. Some instantly fall in love with it, while some have said it reminds them of an over-inflated Rambler station wagon. Whatever you think of its look, there is no denying the Armada's track record of proven reliability and trouble-free service.
