Pros: "great outside style"

Cons: "Front seat and steering"

"So glad to sell this car. Most uncomfortable front drivers seat. The car, other than the front seat base not moving up or down where the angle could change, as the old Altima did and the horrible steering, the car would have been a keeper. The steering was ultra sensitive causing driving a windy road to need the entire lane as trying to resenter the car after wind gust the car with a little movemnet of the steering move rapidly to the compensating side almost creating like a drunk would drive. (don't drink) It is sad that Nissan feels this seat is an an advantage and does a commercial on it. Is horrible. As well the steering is a nightmare."

Pros: "It's new, Acceptable MPG, decent seats"

Cons: "Technology is outdated & cost cutting everywhere!"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 6

"Used to own the 2005 Nissan Altima S and now own the 2014 Nissan Altima SL. This car is luxury compared to the older version as the engine/transmission/interior/exterior/features has changed in over 10 years. The car ride is acceptable but the Altima Still rides stiffly with a stiff instead of a softer suspension so will feel every bump/crack/road irregularity. It's very Noisy so Nissan cheapened out in NOT adding much noise insulation which is very surprising. Part of the remedy would be to get rid of the terrible Continental tires! There's also some wind noise around the windows at faster speeds! The CVT engine is LOUD esp. on start up and acceleration. Nissan doesn't make stick shifts any more and the dual shift transmission is only available on the V6 model. The interior is nice with its leather and some soft touch plastic but there's still some hard plastic pieces present. The seats are nice BUT the seat button is almost flat and it appears to NOT be durable as it's flattening out even for a new vehicle >:( Nissan hates technology!! - The Bose radio upgrade includes a 5" screen which is NOT a Touchscreen when its competitors Include a touchscreen stereo! WTH Nissan?! - Only the top line SL model includes a tilt seat function! Many competitors include a tilt seat function! The passenger seat only includes a manual forward/back feature and seat back function but no height or tilt seat features! The SL model includes a left and a right passenger seat headrest adjustment while the middle is fixed. The lower models ALL have fixed rear seat headrests just like it was back in 2005! WTH Nissan?! Why is the sunroof relatively small esp. when its competitors are offering more (bigger) panoramic versions? Mileage is mixed but still breaking in the engine. City driving stinks ~low 20s for now while highway was in the low 30s. Could be MUCH better! Nissan's "Fun to drive!" marketing slogan is dead along with how the cars handle as it's more about fuel economy now and even that is questionable. The break and accelerator pedals are TOO close together! The Altima is relatively Pricey considering what is included but particularl on what is NOT included. It's NOT worth the money for all the "little" shortcomings due to Nissan's nickel and diming the "features". The cost cutting features will eventually cost Nissan its customers! Hopefully, the reliability will be good :)"
