"My third Altima. Had a 1990, 1994 and this 2000. All great cars. Just broke a spring and had to have some work done but an 8 year old car with 74000 miles on it deserves some TLC. Got a great deal on all three cars too!"
"I've worked for a Nissan Dealership for about 6 months, and I have always been a Dodge guy. I purchased my 99 Altima for a song because it came in as a trade for a customer that was purchasing a new 2007 Altima. It needed a new battery, tires, front brakes, struts and a 100,000 tune up. (It was due, it had 114k on the odometer) The body doesn't have a speck of rust, the seals are still good, and it gets about 32 miles a gallon. It looks and drives like a brand new car! Best $2500 I ever spent! I'm working to purchase a 2008 Altima 3.5 SE , my new dream car!"
"A realiable and dependable car, have taken it on long trips, like 20 hours staright driving, stopping only for refuelling etc. Have never given me any problem for last 5 years since I had this 3year old used car. Have enough power for a normal family person, but not enogh for sporty type of guy. Maintenece cost had been prety low even at the dealer."
"I bought my 2000 Altima brand new and haven't had one mechanical issue. Regular maintainence and normal ware items but that's it. I just got new struts and it drives like it's brand new. Great on gas and fun to drive. The only beef I have is that that the leather seats wore very quickly."
"Inherited it from my daughter at 100,000 miles. She had very few problems with it until I took it over. As soon as I about had it paid off, it became a lemon. I now have 120,000 miles and have sunk $2500, yet it still has more problems. My Honda had 300,000 when my son inherited it, and still running great. This has not been a great experience. Think I will try Toyota next."
"I bought my Altima brand new in 2000 with 7 miles on it and now it has 175,000 miles and I haven't had not one major problem with it. It was a good buy and good on gas since it's never consistent. Not bad amount of horsepower for a 4 cyclinder. I would reccommend it to anyone...Nissan built tough!"
