I own this car - My approximate mileage is 135,000
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsPros: "Fantastic FUN a true pleasure to drive lowservice"
Cons: "Too many kids buying and modifying! W. B. rare!"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"This is the third 240SX I have owned. My 1995 has 135K on it and all of them have been and continue to be a excellent car's. When you find one buy it (replace the plastic radiator with a all metal, power steering pumps are also common failures, and good tires for a better ride). The car is super lite, so forget about winter driving. I have seen these with everything from a SR20 engine (stock in outback) to a LT1 engine installed. I like the S14 configuration and my car is a auto, (first auto 240SX I have owned). It is fun, looks great, rides well, get 25 to 30 MPG (if you keep your foot out of it) and is inexpensive to own. Now in 2012 you should be able to buy one for no more than 6000, and if garage keep and maintained in ten years you should have no problems selling it for 6000. Most common failures are again radiators, cylinder heads, power steering pumps and, rack & pinion steering, in that order. Prone to rust so check it out carefully if buying in a northern area. I know of no better sports coupe for the money!"

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 142,000
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsPros: "Sexy sporty reliable with great fuel efficiency"
Cons: "None"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9
"I bought this car used 5 speed w moonroof and 16 inch rims. Kept it stock except for a lightened forged aluminum Fidanza flywheel when I replaced the clutch (9 pounds vs18 for stock). It is pearl white and I think it looks best in that color. Average fuel economy is 27 mixed driving and 31-32 on highway. Extremely reliable never left me stranded. I love this car and still do not want to get rid of it after 14 years driving it! Sexy shape and younger kids drewel over it. One of nissans greatest cars. Better than a new 350z in my opinion. Interior has held up great too. Looking for a fun stock car w ka24d engine or project for sr20det the 240sx or Sylvia is for you."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 188,800
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsPros: "reliable, great handling, decent mileage, looks"
Cons: "no cup holders, lacks horsepower to back up looks"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"Bought this car in 2000 with 60,000 miles on it. My base model doesn't have all the amenities I wanted, but it has been a joy to drive. The 150 horsepower is a little lacking, but the torquey engine is fun when driving through twisty roads. I did add some bolt on parts to improve performance, but a turbo is probably the only effective cure for the anemic engine performance. The engine and manual five speed gear box have been bulletproof. I did not replace the timing chain as recommended because it is the double row roller chain. If I wanted to keep this car forever, I would have the chain replaced and have the head worked on. Only at 185,000 did the clutch start giving signs of impending failure. The electronics and wiring have performed reliably, with only two minor repairs of shorted connections needing repairs over the last twelve years."

"Not only is this an amazing daily-driver, it's a drifting machine. It is easy to lower and stance, handles like a boss, is quick for it's weight and loves me back."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 114,000
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsPros: "every thing"
Cons: "head room when over 6ft 4in."
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"I have had this car for over 10 years now. The car it self is 14 years old, and it still drives as good as the day I got it. Only minor repairs that you should expect with any car hitting 100k miles. I have not had any repair costs over $200, and were all easy enough I was able to fix myself with basic tools. I have 3 close friends that have bought a 240sx because they loved mine so much. There is not enough good to be said about this car. The only bad thing that I can say being over 6ft tall is the sun roof model which I have is a little lacking on head room, but it is not bad enough that I cant drive it. I have been on 500 mile trips at least 6 times."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 131,000
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsPros: "Will run forever and still looks sexy at 15."
Cons: "Small trunk."

"I bought my 240SX in 1998 as a lease return. It wasn't cheap, but it had good reviews. I have now owned this car for 13 years and always kept up on the preventative maintenance. It has NEVER broken down or left me in a bad spot, NEVER needed any major work and still runs great. People stop me in parking lots and ask if I want to sell it. I had no idea it was so popular. If you buy one, buy a well cared for one and you will not be sorry."
