I purchased my IS350 18 months ago and love it more each day. My list of choices included the BMW 335i, Acura TL, Infiniti G35, and Mercedes C350. This car was by far the best value for the money. It's significantly faster than the Merc, the TL and trust me, it's faster than the G35. The Beamer felt slighlty quicker (and is, 0.2 to 60 and 0.1 quarter mile). and the G felt only a bit slower but slightly sportier. However, for the same options you get standard in the Lexus, that MARGINAL acceleration of the Beamer comes at a significant premium cost (and that's without real leather, yep BMW leather or should I say vinyl). The G on the other hand was well priced, but just doesn't feel like a 'luxury' sports sedan (cheap interior plastics in my opinion). However, if I were to choose a runner-up, the Beamer was a close second. If you don't like the supposed 'bland' steering feel of the Lexus or the supposed 'lack of feel for the road' I suggest getting the F-sport suspension, F-sport air intake and F-sport exhaust (I think this ran me about $2-$3k on top of base) you'll be in for a surprise at what those options add to the vehicle. The car corners and accelerates like an exotic car. To add, I can't think of an exotic car that's affordable or can seat 4 comfortably. Yes, the interior is somewhat snug, but that's what i'd expect from a sports sedan. I will add that I have had 3-6 footers in this car plus me at 5' 10" on a 2-hour trip and there were no complains about comfort during the trip. In fact, all 3 made comments on how unbelievably soft the leather was, how fast the car was and how on earth I could afford this car. Of course, I paid less than half of what they thought I paid...just proves how luxuries this car is! Enough Gloating, but honestly, I would sell my house and trade in my wife before i'd ever get rid of this car. It's one of the few things that make me smile. Finally, I average 24mpg city and 28 hwy in this car. Find another 306hp car that will get you those kind of numbers!
