Have owned the truck for 2 months, traded in a '02 Suburban. Family of six, and my wife hates minivans so here we are with another land yacht... Good: AWD and a beast of a motor; 6,000lb of steel to keep a family safe; great ride and overall comfort; styling makes it the envy of the school mom crowd; quiet on the road; seats are comfortable; lots of electronic niceties; fill all the seats with people, and still have more than enough room for a trip to Costco. Bad: navigation system is inferior to a $300 Garmin; hard, cheap plastic on center console and doors mars an otherwise nice interior; side/rear visibility is worse than previous generation; steering is a bit slow to repond at speed. Ugly: a consistent 12 MPG (low end of range) from mixed city/hwy use; no glove box or underhood lights??; build quality is suspect, have already had two trips to the dealer to fix loose weatherstripping. Our Suburban had many electrical issues over the years, strongly consider an extended warranty!
