When the Sport Trac first came out I was not impressed. I didn't think it was a very good idea - after all, if you want a truck, get a full sized one. I found a lightly used Sport Trac at my local Ford dealer at what was a low price according to the Blue Book values. I thought I should at least check it out and was I surprised! It handles well, the V6 has plenty of power, and it is a very comfortable ride. Also, it is much easier to park than a full sized pickup, and as an added benefit, I am averaging 20 mpg combined city/highway driving. When I am mainly driving on the highway, I am getting as much as 24 mpg. All in all a very nice truck.

My Third Sport Trac, November 14, 2009
By J from Evergreen, CO
I will buy a fourth soon. I like the 2007 the best. Great suspension, still tight after 80,000 miles.

I know own my 2nd Sport Trac!! My first was a 2002 4.0 V6 2WD that I dearly loved. Put 100K miles on that thing hauling the boys all over the place in Scouts and Baseball, then pulled my camper around too. My son is now driving it. Only issue I had with it was had to put higher quality mid grade gas in it. It hated the cheap stuff. Had the opportunity to upgrade to a 2009 Limited with all the bells and whistles. The 4.6 V8 pulls my little camper like it's not even there. Yep mileage is an issue towing the camper, but that's just cause of the height of the camper. Love the Sync!! Love the Navigation. Wish it had XM instead of Sirrius cause we already have 3 XM radios, miss my Major League Baseball.
