After wanting to upgrade to a SUV/Crossover from a VW Jetta, I knew I wanted to go with a GM vehicle but was not interested in the Trailblazer.
I saw this vehicle on display, LOVED the way it looked and went to the dealership to try it out. Not only is it roomy, it's also extremely comfortable. The interior is well designed and you don't feel like you are sitting on top of one another. The DVD system is a hit with my daughter and definitely helped on a recent 900 mile trip. The climate control is great - helps keep everyone comfortable. The 3rd row seat is roomy and still allows space for storage. I have absolutely no issues with the gas milage. I am averaging about 18.5 around town and we averaged over 23 on our trip. I think if the milage is under 17/18 around town, it's got to be the way the car is driven. While, I am not stoked about the price to fill the vehicle up, I will say that I don't have to fill it up every 7 days if I stay within my normal driving routine. I can usually go about 10 days between fill-ups.
The only issue we've had is that the DVD display doesn't turn on when you hit play. So you have to restart the system.
If I could make one recommendation, it would be to make the turning radius smaller. We've had trouble manuvering in and out of tight spots, but it's nothing we would get rid of the car over.
There really isn't anything bad to say about this vehicle. I would definitely buy another one.
Bottom line is that Chevy hit a home run with this vehicle and I LOVE IT!

I bought my Traverse in July of this year (2009). I am a first time mom and was looking for something that would be accommodating for all of those "baby" things that a mom requires to carry along everywhere! lol. I previously owned a 2-door explorer, which I loved, but needed-- desperately-- 4 doors. My Traverse is everything I wanted and more! It is the perfect height for loading and unloading kids... no stretching up trying to put her in a truck.. and no bending down to put her in a car... perfect fit for me (I'm 5'6"). the ride is super smooth and it drives and handles great. Storage is great too... lots of little cubbyholes and nooks to hide your belongings, so they aren't filtering out where everyone can see. I chose the full middle seat instead of the bucket seats, so I can hold 8 passengers---probably kids lol---if I ever need to. For the moment I keep my third seat down and that allows for great cargo space. My baby's stroller fits perfectly with her walker side by side with ease. When her walker isn't in the back I make an on-the-go changing station... again the perfect height.. no bending or stretching. The more I drive it the more I love it and find things to love! I am so thrilled to see that others love theirs as much as I love mine!
