2009 Audi TT 2-door QUATTRO Premium Coupe
KELLEY BLUE BOOK REVIEW
Overview
KBB Editors' Overview
When it first hit the streets for the 2000 model year, the radically styled Audi TT – sleek and bulbous and minimalist at once – left not a single head unturned in its wake. Eight years and a truckload of design awards later, that car has earned for itself a place in automotive history. While it would be unrealistic to expect the same kind of visual impact from its follow-up, with its second-generation TT, Audi has delivered a car that's even more exciting than the first. The front- or all-wheel-drive TT competes on varying levels with the BMW Z4, Mercedes-Benz SLK and the Porsche Boxster and Cayman, all of which are rear-wheel-drive cars.
| You'll Like This Car If... | You May Not Like This Car If... |
| If you're looking for a two-seat roadster or a 2+2 coupe, you're probably looking for some combination of style, comfort and fun. In the TT you'll find equally lofty levels of the three. | If rear-wheel drive is the only way to go as far as you're concerned, or if you're looking for something to take to the track, pony up for the mid-engine, rear-drive, beautifully balanced Porsche Boxster or Cayman and be done with it. |
What's Significant about this Car?
The biggest news for 2009 is the arrival of the high-performance TTS model later in the model year. All TT's now features an auxiliary audio input jack (deletes the iPod interface option), SIRIUS Satellite Radio, Hill Hold Assist and a multi-function steering wheel. Quattro all-wheel is made available for the first time on the 2.0T S tronic trim.
