Cons: "Cup holder flimsy, horse power"

"I have had this model since 2003 when I bought it from dealer with about 24,000 miles. It is been through a lot and held up very well. I have had to perform valve cover gasket, solenoid, and timing belt repair/replace in all of the 13 years I have owned this. About the only real negative I can say is that I wish it had a bit more horse power, but that might have gotten me in trouble."

"I have definitely got my money's worth for this car. I've owned it for 4 years and put 60k miles on it. I have the 5 speed manual, and even only with it's 92hp, it's still fun to drive. It was in an accident before I purchased it, and the ONLY thing I have had to replace outside of routine maintenance was the air compressor. It hasn't let me down!"

"I want everyone to know about my 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage LS. It served me very well, 15 years to be exact. This car is like the Energizer Bunny. It never ceased to amaze me, this car, with its undying reliability! It took on 4 teens, and me driving quite a distance to college when it was new. It kept going long after kids grown and I went to work. I am sad to say goodbye to my long-time companion. I now have a new car, given to me by my son, otherwise I'd drive it 'til it wouldn't go anymore. It looks pretty rough on the exterior, clear coat mostly gone relatively recently. Everything, all power features, air, radio, CD player still works! I am giving the car to a friend in need. So glad I found a good home for it. I couldn't bear to let it go to a stranger. I have wanted Mitsubishi company to know about this car for years but couldn't find a site to report this to. I hope this gets passed on to the company. I'd gladly be a spokesperson for the Mitsubishi brand. Such quality and reliability. I know the company stopped making Mirage but did I just see an ad for a 2015 Mirage? Yay! I'd buy it!"

Pros: "Dependable, great gas mileage, built to last"

Cons: "no cruise control"

"This car is great! It is a basic model car, no frills but boy does it just go & go & go!. It is reliable, with very little maintenance. All I've done to my car is have the oil changed regularly, replaced the tires when they wear out, changed the battery once and the basic things that wear out like wiper blades, air filters, etc. If you get your hands on one keep it! I have read a lot of reviews on this car and they all say the same thing. When Mitsubishi built this car, they built it right! I love my 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage!"

Cons: "It's a small car"

"I am the 5th owner and I have been very pleased with this car--made me a fan of Japanese cars :) I like the fact that it has a pleasant style that's not really dated even though the car is 14 years old. And it was so much more comfortable for all the driving I had to do in it (as opposed to a Plymouth Neon)Overall I am happy with this car!"
