overall rating 9 of 10rating detailsPros: "Winter handlinng, reliability, operating cost,"

"Bought as a used Enterprise vehicle with 13000 miles. Have just recently replaced the harmonic balancer and front wheel bearings. No other expenses. Very reliable. Average mph runs 26 - 30. With winter rated snow tires it is an unbeatable winter 2wd vehicle. On snow or ice it handles like on pavement - no slipping, sliding or getting stuck. Stops great. Absolutely no rust. Used it would make a great, safe car to send your child off to college with - would not break them for gas and you wouldn't have to worry about them when on the road."

"how can i rate my car anything other than all 5's? purchased 3 years old 45k miles now it has 252k miles yes there's been alot of repairs the last 2 years but that's to be expected with 252k miles. first trans lasted 192k, got it rebuilt for $1700 now 60k on the rebuild. just replaced the radiator, idle control valve, starter and battery. most amazing thing is the timing belt i think was supposed to be changed 4 times? i still have the original. when i bought this car it was beautiful, looked brand new, sunroof, gorgeous alloy wheels, stunning white, paint actually still looks great today. premium stereo. yea its not the same car it was 11 years ago, but what a run we've had."

"I really enjoying having this car, In fact it's like my first car that I kept the longest ever. It takes me to point A to point B and back to point A. The paint on vehicle is fairly bad, the inside may need to be details, but other than that it's a comlete good condition. 4-doors, cd single, power windows( one window rolls up and down but driver can not close the window only the passenger), power lock, clean but suggest a details done to this car."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 133,500
overall rating 8 of 10rating detailsPros: "mpg better than a lot of new cars, a kick to drive."
Cons: "with cups in front holders I can't see stereo. Needs a rear 12V outlet."
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"I bought my '98 Galant ES in December 2010 for $700. It was a salvaged title due to an accident at the front right. The previous owner did a decent job of reparing the damage. I had to spend around $300 for misc. parts to fix some minor mechanical flaws. The previous owner also had a wrong bulb in a rear brake light that was causing havoc with my cruise control and dash lights. But since those corrections the car has been outstanding. Very strong engine, 27 mpg highway and plenty of response. The tight steering and suspension make me feel like I am driving an expensive sports car. My only hang up right now is trying to get the keyless remote to work. I may have to visit the Mitsubishi dealer after all..."
