I owned and sold this car
Reason: Small trunk space, Brakes kept going out. - My approximate mileage is 34,000
Pros: "Nice look to it"
Cons: "Not enough space."
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 2
"The car itself was spacious, until we started a family then it wasnt roomy enough, the trunk space was limited and the brakes kept going out spent more on brakes than anything Ive ever spent even on my junk cars! Maybe I had a parts car the dealer sold me, but we had to get rid of it!"

"I bought this car when it only had 13000 miles. I have driven it for the past 5 years without needing any major repairs. the 2.4 engine is powerful an reliable with a very good combination of power and fuel efficiency. The interior is spacious and comfortable. On the other hand, the paint's quality isn't good, some interior moldings on the doors seem cheap."

"I bought my Galant in a rush, and I loved it. I drove it 30k miles a year. Very comfortable interior, 25-27mpg and jus fun to drive. This past weekend I hit a large deer going 70 mph. Not a scratch on me, though my poor car is totaled. My passenger hurt her knee and was a little bruised up. Overall the crash went as well as it could have. An excellent car at a great price."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 327,000
overall rating 4 of 5rating detailsPros: "Great all around car. I love it"
Cons: "Wish the new parts didnt cost so much."

"My wife bought this new in 2002. No major problems. We do reg maint/oil change every 3000 miles. We have replaced the power steering unit, tires, brake pads, timing belt. The car needs a new catalytic converter now and shocks/struts all the way around. I love this car but am now looking to trade it in. The CC is going to cost about 600.00 just for the part in Ca. The shocks/struts about 800.00 installed. But at 327,000 miles the engine still runs like a champ. I drive over 80 miles daily. I will look down and not even relize I am hitting 100 mph. But with the cost of the new parts at this point its time to let go.It looks like I will be getting a 2010 Galant with 38,000 on it. I will write a review on that car when I have had it for a bit. I hope it treats me as well as the one I have now."
