"This is the best car I have ever owned! It is fun to drive, very reliable, comfortable, good-looking, hugs the road, has a fantastic sound system, is quiet, and just a joy to own at a great price!!! I don't understand why Mitsubishi downsized this model and then discontinued it! I certainly would buy another one!!! I am a VERY SATISFIED customer!!!!"

Pros: "Great power and handling make this a fun drive!"
Cons: "Poor turning radius, paint job, comfort limit fun."

"Great reliable car with good points outweighing bad. Supper power for this small sport car. Will pass and corner in the mountains with the best of them. One draw back to the handling is the big turning radius. Our motorhome almost has a better turning radius. Black paint job has never been a staying item- always fading even after a repaint. Back seats are not meant for anyone but tiny adults, kids, or our dogs. Lift gate lifters stopped lifting long ago in cool weather. All in all "Shadow" has been a fun and practical drive for 12+ years."

Cons: "....When it's actually running."

"These cars look amazing, nice and sleek. They drive like a dream. However.... Once one thing goes wrong - such as the starter needing replaced, it feels like the whole car falls apart. My starter went out in March, followed by the thermostat starting to fail in July. Two weeks after the thermostat is replaced, the hood release comes off in my hand and the temperature gauge seems to be busted. The heat has since ceased to work, sometimes blowing hot most of the time blowing cold. This car is a NIGHTMARE. And getting someone to work on it? HAH. Car repair shops laugh when they see me coming because they either don't want to work on it or they know they are about to make a KILLING because it's so difficult to work on. This car is without a doubt the BIGGEST mistake of my life."

"I own a 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse with the remix package. I have to say its one of the best vehicles I've owned. If your looking for a first car put this on your list you will not be disappointed. Ignore all the outdated false info about mitsubishi vehicles. I owned this vehicle for quite some time and I had ZERO MAJOR ISSUES. Only maintaince such as needing a new belt or water pump or radiator nothing big. Drives nice an tight very comfortable and most importantly safe!! I was in an single car accident with this vehicle hitting a pole and it was not total didnt even touch the motor or chassis. Most other cars would of been destroyed. As far as gas mileage its fairly good 23 city 29 highway with an aftermarket intake i get 25 city 31 highway. Don't overlook these vehicles get one 2003+ before those years they had horrible trannys because chrysler partner with Mitsubishi"

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 85,000overall rating 8 of 10rating details
Pros: "Cutest little sporty car on wheels"
Cons: "controls not hi-tech, bumpy ride at times."

"I love how this car looks and it's just fun to drive on a warm spring, summer, fall day. It gets good mileage and has never needed any major repairs. It has great storage space for a little car and I can still do major shopping damage and it will all fit in between the trunk and the back seat. Back seat is tiny but who cares when you are up front, heat/air conditioning is not subtle - you are constantly adjusting it. Ride is not smooth. Small car and close to the road so you feel all the bumps. On the plus side, I get lots of looks and comments on what a nice looking car it is. I'd buy it again."
