I own this car - My approximate mileage is 168,400
overall rating 6 of 10rating detailsPros: "Fun to drive"
Cons: "Parts are expensive, hard to work on."
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"I love the way this car handles and drives when everything is working right. I have the SOHC with an automatic in it and the automatic transmissions are not built vary well. I have had to replace the trans twice in 4 years. besides that the car runs great. When reading reviews from mitsubishi about children and car seats it said that the back seat was good for car seats what they dont tell you is there cant be anyone in the front seat. My daughter is two and if I have to have her in my car and someone in the front she has to put her feet up on the seat at almost eye level so the person in the front can actually get in the car. So if your going to get this car make sure its a standard and you have another car if you have a family dont expect to use the back seat."

"i have the 1997 VR-4 with plenty of upgrades, only 15000 mile on new engine. nice to know that a 13 year old car can outperform new cars like corvette mustang and camaros."

"I traded an 04 mustang in for this car in feb. with 100k miles on it and it proved to be a great choice! Its in excellent shape and it is definately a storage keeper not to rack up the milage! I dont really have any complaints other than the parts are very expensive even for factory ones and they are hard to find. I haven't seen any other 3000gt's around my location for over 8 years now, they are really becomming scarce and rare for being manufactured in the 90's. Everywhere I go, I get many looks and even had a couple people taking pictures of it like it was some kind of super car."

"What I love about the car is its rarity. Ive only ever seen about 3 around central Ar. This has been my dream car and now i finally own one! The only thing that I would say is bad is that the parts for it are very hard to come by and just as expensive so if you have something that needs to be fixed or replaced it could take months to repair."

"I got my 3000gt SL edition, and i was so lucky to have found it. i was amazed of the body shape and performance being a 1997 car. but once i saw it and drove it, i fell in love. people look at u and admire your car. i love the fact that its preety hard to find these cars, they are not common like a civic or corola. but i love the performance and speed and turning. mostly on a freeway. it feels like ur glyding on the road. this car is more for young people who can aford to maintain such a beautiful car. it fits 2 people very comfortably but 4, ah, we got a problem. like i said its mostly for a young guy who likes to cruise with his girl and not be caring all these kids in the back. haha."
