Great car if not for the transmission

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 80,000

Cons: "TERRIBLE transmission"

"Fun to drive & comfortable. Have just had the THIRD manual transmission in 80k miles FAIL. BMW does not sell parts for these transmissions. You can only buy NEW/REBUILT transmissions for $2700. I'm selling this piece of junk and NEVER buying another BMW product."

I <3 My Mini - but they aren't for everyone

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 64,500

Pros: "FUN! Great unique styling, gas mileage good"

Cons: "repairs/tires never cheap, basically a 2 seater"

"The car rides like a box of rocks. It is noisy. When it breaks down it is never something cheap and easy. But This little car has so much personality I can not help but love it. It is quirky and fun. The convertible is probably its saving grace. Tall people will not ride with you. People will balk at the idea of climbing into that back seat. If you are driving, however, it is FUN! Lots of pick up, great response (I have a 6 speed manual.) Gas mileage rocks for a 6 speed manual sportster! Next I will upsize to the Countryman because I love the look but need some space."

Love it, fun to drive, economical.

"Love it, fun and comfortible to drive even on long trips. Handling is exceptional particularly on the mountains and twisty roads. Not much back seat passenger room, ecept for little kids but you can fold them down and have a mini station wagon sized space. 30 MPG aound town, 35 on the highway. Not for everyone particulary if space is required."

fun fun fun

Pros: "fun to drive, great gas mileage"

Cons: "dealer repairs are outrageous, extra keys 200+"

"wow, this is a dream car! OK all the bells and whistles are a bit confusing at first but 30 days in and my husband and I are sold. I can't imagine owning anything else. If you are heading for your second childhood, grab a Mini and go in style!"

Fun fun fun

Pros: "Fun 2 drive! Well engineered."

Cons: "Expensive parts. Very stiff ride. Tiny back seat."

"After years of driving econo boxes, the Mini is the most fun I've ever had driving a car. The "go cart handling" is not just an ad slogan - it corners like it's on rails. It's not powerful, but is very well engineered, with superb steering and handling characteristics. Mini tells you to use Premium fuel, even on the base model - I never have, and have over 125K miles on it."

A fun drive

Pros: "Gas milage, reliability, Fun"

Cons: "Comfort (street challenging, pot hole) cities"

"Ive own this vehicle since 2006 and is considered a daily drive. I still enjoy the handling, gas milages, and the reliabiliy. The performance is acceptable and allows you to move when needed. Seating space is good and four average size individual will fit. Comfort is less then impressive, especially the rear seated passengers over a long haul. Overall, this is a fun car to have with its go cart handling and turbine performance."
