"This car was bought new by our family in 1993 and has been running strong ever since. If you are looking for a good first car a well maintained Topaz or Tempo (Ford version) would be an excellent choice."

"I bought my Topaz for $500 and ended up selling it for $800 after putting thousands of miles on it. Why? because it was an amazing car. It was my first car, and I was extremely happy with it. It is not bad looking for a coupe family car, the exterior was semi sporty looking. Mine had the moon roof which was great but sometimes it leaked if you didnt make sure it was all the way down. It has very comfortable bucket seats. Was a quick little car. Handled like a dream. If you find a good one, BUY IT!!!"

"I've owned my Topaz for four years. I bought it my sophomore year of high school and still drive it over 500 miles to college each semester. This car is very reliable and easy to self service. With the budget of an independent high school student I was able to fix any problem I came across. I would recommend for any driver, new or old. It is a great and fun car."

"I bought my 1991 Topaz in 2003 when I was 18 and have had it for 7 years now. It has been overall a very dependable car, but the undercarriage has rusted out to the point where it's unsafe to drive thanks to the Michigan winters. I've had to replace the starter, rear struts, wheel bearings, exhaust system, brake line, brake pads, cv joints, and more. However, it has always run dependably, and has only stalled out on me four times in the seven years I've owned it, even through the abuse I've (inadvertently) heaped upon it."
