"Best car I've ever owned. Only minor electrical problem covered by original warranty. Otherwise only replacement things worn out by age after @75000 miles. Average mpg 18-19 city. So sorry I can't get another new. Now need different to haul dogs."

"I've owned this car for 2 years and hasn't given me any trouble. Ever now and then when I put the car in reverse, there's some slip to were it doesn't engage. Which I've heard is common with Sable's and Taurus. Other than that, the car is really comfrontable and reliable. I recently drove from Dallas, Tx to San Diego, Ca and the car did great. Rode smooth, and quite for an 12 year old car."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 55,000
overall rating 8 of 10rating detailsPros: "interior,controls,features,stereo,motor.reliable"
Cons: "Road noise,handling,trunk opening."
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9
"I bought this car (sedan ls premium) used with 54000 miles. Runs excellent! Starts faster in cold weather than any other vehicle ive owned, even without a block heater and i live in the second coldest state ND. I wish the leather seats had heat/cool function. Car has lots of power with the duratech 24v 3.0 motor. The handling could be better and for a luxury sedan has more road noise than expected but the stereo is awesome! (stereo on-no road noise:) I love the controls and features, and you dont have to be a rocket scientist to figure them out. The owners manual is very informative and easy to read.My kids say the body style is like a "grandma car" and i kinda agree but the rims look good and grandma cars don't attract as much unwanted attention (police, theives etc.)So far the reliability has been excellent(knock on wood)haven't had any trouble. Fuel consumtion is a little high i think for a six cylinder 21mpg average so far in the winter, i expect that to go up when summer rolls around.Trunk opening is small, trunk large especially with rear seatbacks down."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 160,000
overall rating 6 of 10rating detailsPros: "Firm, comfortable seats, good heat/AC"
Cons: "Bad handling on winter roads, issues w/high miles"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 5
"I have had this car for about three years now, got it for a great price but you do get what you pay for. When I bought it the car had an ABS sticker on drivers window but when I found it handled terrible on snowy roads and many times almost lost control, I learned there was actually NO ABS. I'm still surprised that this would not be standard on a 2005 vehicle. Even after changing the way I was braking, it would still routinely slide very easily when braking. At times I even wondered if the car was front wheel drive because just attempting to drive forward causes it to slide all over. As a result, I ended up buying snow tires last winter which helped a little. This car gets pathetic MPG, ranging from 19-21. The highest ever gotten was 22 on long highway trip. My car also does not even have a basic CD player, but a CASSETTE PLAYER, of all things. I thought I could live without a CD but for me, I really missed it (although I dug some of my old cassettes out I hadn't listened to since 1990). Honestly, I have scratched my head at the thought that in 2005 any car manufacturer would put one of those in a car! I get a backache from some car seats but the drivers seat in this car is awesome and I will miss it when I sell it. Even after driving to and from Texas my back felt great. Regarding selling, I will be unloading this car ASAP due to a cluster of expensive needed repairs: ABS sensor out so no airbags $440 cost to repair, Timing cover with coolant leak $750, Right lower ball joint $265, Catalytic converter is going, check engine light is on, this could cost upwards of $1000 to repair. It is NOT worth it to fix this car so it is going!"
