"I have put over 200,000 miles on this car since I bought it. I love the pickup of the engine. With good care and maintenance, expect your Sable to last you a very long time. Gonna miss it!"

Pros: "little to no major fixes"

Cons: "most don't come with a cd player"

"This car is great! I have had it for 8 years and haven't had any major issues with it. It is a gas guzzler but that is to be expected for a luxury bigger sized car."

Love this car.

Pros: "Fun to drive."

Cons: "No more Mercs"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Purchased used. This car is just great. Gas mileage is fantastic, about 25 in town, and 28+ on the highway. Very dependable, handles well, and great speed."

An absolute nightmare from start to finish.

Pros: "Powerful car, sturdy, well-built, nice features"

Cons: "Mechanically unsound, gas guzzler, prone to rust"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 1

"I bought my car at precisely 100,000 miles from a mechanic in 2011. It looked nice and had a clean engine and for the price I figured it was an okay deal. Nope. I can't tell you how much money I have dumped into this vehicle from the first week I bought it. Okay, the original battery died the first week I owned it. That's fine. Most batteries don't even last that long. I replaced it. Then I start getting warnings about the coolant and it took me TWO YEARS to figure out that the radiator cap was simply garbage. Also had an oil leak for the past year or so. I drove this thing 23,000 miles over the course of nearly 3 years. I was gentle on it; it's an older car and I don't have a lead foot. I replaced TWO alternators, replaced the strut assembly on my front wheels, went through so many tires I lost count because something is wrong with the front axle, pretty much rebuilt the suspension, bought a new ignition coil, tried in vain to stop the oil leak, replaced the horn, and NOW the air conditioning pulley is ready to quit. I will never buy an American car again, especially a Ford. I would not wish this car on my worst enemy. It has been nothing but a nightmare, though the features inside the car were nice and it is very sturdy."

Pros: "drives like a Lincoln, love it."

Cons: "I cannot think of anything I would change."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"bought car because I wanted one of the last Salbles with this body. I have done very little to keep it on the road. Oil Changes, battery, tires, alignment, and rotors being turned, that is all I have done. Replaced wheel bearings at 163k miles (big surprise), but other than that, this car has been amazing to me. Won't use any oil, and never fails to get me where I need to be."
